IBM discriminates older employees and RA then. At the same time they hire college graduates in masses. They make RA employees train college graduates.

In other news, people laid off from IBM always have somebody else to blame. It's never their fault. It's never because they are underperformers; or have sat complacently in a dying BU instead of looking for a better gig; or because they don't have the initiative to find something outside IBM.

I'm one of the older people laid off (RA) 2015 at 58. On my last account I didn't train college grads but India how to assign IP's to servers, rsa, san storage etc since that account went 100% off shore and IBM used a cheap 3rd party company for any touches.

When they RA you if you resign right away you will not be eligible for the severange package. This is why IBM take advantage demand The experience people who got RA to train the new college graduates. It is a very dirty game IBM plays.
Make you train them? I don't think so, that's your choice.
If I was given an RA I would go into workday and resign the same day.
