Thread regarding Ford layoffs

As bad as Ford is doing, I cannot see how they can wait till June 30th 2024 to do

The massive layoff. I work in Customer Service and everyday I get so many calls from customers whose Fords spend more time at the dealership for repairs than on the road. Some customers don’t even get off the lot for the first time before they have serious mechanical issues. They get the get the runaround from the dealers. Most of the time they are waiting on a part that sometimes takes more than 6 months to arrive from India, China, etc. I have had men and women call crying or screaming at how their vehicle either won’t stop, accelerates automatically or dies right in the middle of the interstate. And they are not just EVS. My God how much longer can this company exist? To make matters worse job functions that have been sent to India that used to be done by the Customer Service in the U.S. make everything get done 3 and 4 times slower than before which pi---s off the customers even more. On a daily basis I am advised by customers that Ford needs to get out of the Stone Age with their processes.

@1msv+1rSW0a5X they are gonna need those discarded gas engine and transmission skills real soon now if they want to ramp up hybrids. even Saint Elon doesn't know how to make a good gas powertrain. he could LEARN, but he doesnt know now.

It's the customers fault.....their expectations are too high and the dealer oversold them.....the cars and trucks are functioning as designed, no issues here....which means, the customer paid around $80k for a new truck that won't start and run and brake. If they want the upgraded version that will start and run under it's own power, and have working brakes, that's an additional $20k over the air subscription package.

Swoa5x. You obviously do not know much about what is going on in customer service . Fcgbc handles non phone work that we used to do and that is in India. Also I know they do not want them on the phone as no one can understand them. But as long as Ford keeps sinking there won’t be a need for much of customer service and they will probably outsource that to another company just like they have done with their system applications which su-k and stay down more than they do up which causes customer dissatisfaction and more stress and embarrassment for the employees.

Layoffs at Ford, Staineus, , and the American company goes with hot dogs apple pie and baseball is a huge side show whilst the great replacement is taking place at our non border.

Believe me that is what you should be worrying about

@1ene Hold on.... didnt Farley say 3 years ago that new skillsets were needed and that Ford employees were not retrainable? Yes, we should wait and let Phoebe Wall Howard write a puff piece that clears everything thing up.

OP is lying. Ford Customer Service isn't even run by Ford. It's handled by Percepta out of Melbourne, FL. They aren't sending customer service stuff to India. If any are sent overseas, it's too Percepta in Manila. You really that bored lol???

What indication is there that things are evening happening on June 30th? If layoffs come 25% for salary, then there might be a number of people that just needed the nudge to move on and it could be the best thing to happen for them. Hopefully people get their summer vacations in before it happens!

The future is bleak. Spending so much money on EVs that no one wants, and a building in Detroit that should have been razed was not smart business. WCF Sr. would not have done all is this.

Yes I heard 25% salary headcount reductions before July for USA. That is why these people planning meetings going on the 1st quarter. It is really planned staffing reductions! I.e. Targets. Sad and pathetic company we work for.

Those customers did not know that their Ford vehicles comes with FSD (full self driving).
Ford vehicles will sometimes drive it self. Braking on its own. Shut off by itself. Roll away from parking. Catch on fire for no reason. Don't be surprised when these things happened.

garbage software, lowest bidder circuit boards and connectors. who knew electronics should not be bought by the ton like steel and plastic? my headlights would go out due to a
bad curcuit board. cost more than a windows desktop to replace. MBAs, running your company into the ground one nickel at a time.
