Sales, in Public Sector, and glad to have received this today. Company was good to me over the years but can’t take the everlasting BS from some of our so called Managers aka AVP. Socially awkward, brought zero value to our meeting and believes everything is rainbows and sunshine. Glad to be going out with 20 yrs. Good luck to all who have to continue to listen to the BS.

T corporate leadership wants to automate and AI as much as possible.
Less human personnel equal more profit to the bottom line for T.
It's confirmed: att wireless has the worst customer service department in the industry.
I think. I've been trying to reach a HUMAN thru att chat and failed consistently; and the effing robot seems more ready to drink acid than connect with a human. what the eff is wrong with att? have they forgotten, or more likely dont G.A.S., that we reach out for help and are thwarted by their latest evolution of ROBOTS running the phone, i'm
dumping this assembly of non human a-holes , the humans, not the robots, (well, both) as quickly as I can. I will then savor the email asking me why i left. I have a bag full of cr-p to pour on the poor soul at att on the other end of the line.
- keep requesting more info 2. ask for a nonexistent password 3. put on hold while i make a hot dog and beer snack, then hang up on them. i realize its not the employees-
its the incredibly stupid managers that are ruining att. Its as if they are trying to run people off. Well, its worked with me. I have a few things pending and when they are clear I'm dumping this unbelievable sack of sh.. company and finding a real internet/phone provider.
Was your AVP Agnew?
"...how long did it take for you to receive your severance after your last day on payroll..."
I have seen this answered here before, as well as on some of the FB retiree groups, etc. Consensus seems to be that within 30-45 days people are receiving severance payments.
i believe this had been asked before. although the can’t locate an answer. how long did it take for you to receive your severance after your last day on payroll ? asking because i expect to be surpluses in late May.
Best of Luck
“I received a $500.00 gift card I can use to buy AT&T Shirts, Hats, and socks.”
Can you apply the gift card to an early purchase of the annual AT&T holiday ornament? This can help be a keepsake for you moving forward.
I received a $500.00 gift card I can use to buy AT&T Shirts, Hats, and socks. That's all after 22 years
I’m with Public Sector and been told that the org had no layoffs checked with managers & AVP all said no. Public Sector was the first group to reorg combing SLED and Firstnet, the orgis lean especially in operations support and since any sales reps leaving won’t get a package they will get put on PIP and be managed out The OP is lying unless he can provide some type of proof. Now watch the downvote for calling this out
welcome to wal-mart!
"...would you mind sharing how much you got in severance pay?"
Just so you know, those severance pay plans are posted on HR OneStop. They're not secret.
20 years equals. 6 months pay out of current pay structure. Bonus paid next year. Vacations not used paid out, and off you go.
Since this is anonymous, would you mind sharing how much you got in severance pay?
Cut the AVP some slack. If you made $500K a year you’d be sunshine a rainbows too.
There are options after T, staying for the severance, it will allow me time to destress from the toxicity and move on.
Most of us are fed up, we have no other option but to stay.
Congratulations on 20 years! It has been known large layoffs were coming, so this couldn’t have been a surprise. Good luck to you!
I wish you the best. It took a while to find a new home but things are improving.
