Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

If pay/pension cut plan was known maybe I would have taken the voluntary...

That bonus is stock will continue to be impacted was known so people who were not taking voluntary were committed to ride that storm out. But then to move the goal posts and cut pay and pension contribution was a bit unfair. Re-opening the voluntary path would be a move with integrity.

The wheels are coming off, don't expect the packages to get better only worse. The package is pretty standard and the co. doesn't want to set precedent that waiting will get clingers a better deal.the longer they hold on.

When I left Intel a few years ago the writing was on the wall in bright flashing neon colors. I was more than happy to take the golden handshake and leave with no regrets. Life got much better after that.

What I don’t understand is why so many bright talented people decided to ignore those warning signs and stick around, only to waste so much time and energy complaining about how bad the ELT is?

The CPM uptake rate was poor. The plan to improve it before rolling out the second round was to show staying means getting screwed. Hang on!

If they can’t match our 401k contributions at 5% anymore what makes you think they can afford packages? Ain’t happening.
