COBC prohibits employees from trading Cisco options.
This is 100% true - trading derivatives before earnings is fireable offense.. but HR is clueless anyway bottom tier employees are there too
I always buy puts on cisco. I've failed like maybe 4 times out of 5 years buying put options.
I do not think - legally - cisco employees are allowed option trade for company stock. It is considered speculation. That is not just for quiet period. You may like to check
