Complete lack of transparency

I’m not sure why it simply amazes me that we still lack transparency in report outs to management. What good does it do to be dishonest in project status? How can a business run under the lack of telling the emperor he/she has no clothes? We continue the dysfunctional business model and expect to run an efficient and functional operation? It further blows my mind that we reward these people with promotions and TA status. I just don’t get it.

They will repeat the same mistakes next time they let go people. So many non-deserving people get promoted in the company every year. These folks can't provide any direction to others and think they are very smart. Bunch of jokers. This whole thing will collapse soon.

This company survives without even knowing how to operate. But not for long. The leadership is so bad at all levels with only a few exceptions. Incompetent folks. They don't even know who to let go and who to keep. Mo--ns!

Bravo @1ncx ! You nailed it.

Ford is short on DO-ers and very long on ACCOLADE-ers.
The ACCOLADE-ers aren’t interested in accomplishing anything, their only interest is in receiving accolades.
The DO-ers need to accomplish things. At first they are so busy doing stuff that they don’t notice that they are in the minority at Ford. Once they notice they stop sharing with the ACCOLADE-ers, who then become enraged and push the DO-ers out the door — usually the DO-ers are already planning to leave the toxic dump.

At present I can only name one LL6+ in my reporting chain who is not an ACCOLADE-er. 30 years ago it was more of a 60-40 ratio, now it is easily 5-95 (5% DO-ers).

We have a saying in Spanish "El ojo del amo engorda el caballo" (roughly translates to "It's the master's eye that makes the mill go"). The idea is that the owner is the one keeping the business together.

Since the 3 F's (Fu----g Ford Family) have no idea on how to handle the business, people are taking advantage of them. Oily salesmen and lying "kicked to the curb" managers, keep singing the lullaby that 3 F's (Fu----g Ford Family) want to hear, while filling their pockets and bringing more cronies to the feast.

The more cronies, the more corrupted the company. Good leaders and employees are let go because they are a threat to the clueless cronies. Lack of good employees means hiring more id--ts (knowledgeable people leave after a short while) to try to do the job, but to no avail. More id--ts means more manager positions and promotions for the cronies. Wash, rinse, repeat. What's the breaking point, when there are too many leeches sucking dry the company?

Of course, quality suffers. Shoddy work, uncompleted projects, managers piling lies after lies, bullies, fear, job insecurity, all the signs of an unhealthy company are present at FMC. So what's left to add to the pot? Wokeness of course!

So now we have a very bad mix. More clueless managers promoted because of gender or skin color. How is that not s-xist, nor racist? And of course, these managers have to build their own empires inside the company, which means more uncapable cronies.

FYI, for all the woke as-----s and the 3 F's (Fu----g Ford Family), as you can see in the beginning of this comment, I am Latino, or as the 3 F's (Fu----g Ford Family) would say, a dirty Latin. I don't remember asking a bunch of white guys and gals (what else is in the 3 F's (Fu----g Ford Family) and the BoD @FMC) to defend my rights. I can do that by myself. So go fu-k yourselves.

To Bill Ford and Jim Farley, check out how Tesla receives annually more than 3 million of applications to work at that company, and they hire based on skills, not on skin color or gender. The thing is that as talent attracts talent (Tesla), sh-t (Bill Ford) attracts flies like Jim Farley.

Simple business politics to lie about success just long enough to get promoted to the next level and then move to the greener pastures elsewhere or via a lateral move.

Managing up, baby! Tried and true practice in corporate America. Ford just takes it to another level.

Mind boggling eh? We have a manager who claims a project is complete yet won’t give dependent teams access to her “completed” work product, which is a prerequisite for two other teams projects. Then she tells the director she has no idea why the two other teams are behind schedule as the prerequisite has been completed for months.
Of course the managers project is no where near complete and she is lying to everyone - but the director seems to believe her and yells at the two teams who are behind schedule as the prerequisite is not complete. People are sick and tired of the abuse and the lying manager. Life at F.
