You can feel depressed and disgruntled as much as you want - That is your privilege ! Do feel stuck and fume with jealousy - No qualms. Feel bad about your bonus and merit increase and stay miserable.
With right skill set the one who deserves are getting paid - No wonder you are not.

Sometime back in this same forum a posting was done on the following lines
"I know there are layoffs being scheduled this month. I have seen the list but I cannot give data as it will reveal my identity and put me at risk. So it is up to you to take it with whatever level of confidence you want to put on this information "
On the same lines you can mark it as BS or can take it with the confidence factor of your choice but the data is true - I am not here to boast that. I am here to state that if you are in the proper areas (of Engineering) the firm is taking care of you.
I do not know why it is so difficult to comprehend and call it BS. If that is not the case, the firm would be deserted at this point but for the folks who are holding on to their jobs for their SUB - That is why I called this group as a forum for the disgruntled
There are quite a few who are putting their back in trying to achieve the goal whether they succeed or not that is a different issue. But they are being taken care of in terms of $$$

Ok.. game on. Where and what location are these positions in BNY? Who do they report up to? Why is much of the senior AI leadership in such disarray then? And define wheelbarrow bonus amounts please.

This forum is for disgruntled employees. So truthfully one will notice only negative commentary
But FACT is, if you are in the AI Public Cloud world or in new explorative areas like Pershing X the bonus is pretty good along with merit increase. I know only about technology (engineering)

Merit is terrible, bonus flat.
About the same as last year in my area.
