This was once a great bank, but the management has managed to completely ruin anything that was once good about it. I'm starting to think that no matter what happens now - even if we get all new leadership that actually has both the bank's and employees' best interest in mind - there is no way out of this.

ROTFFLMFAO, this once was a great bank? Perhaps when Alexander Hamilton founded the bank, it was great 200 years ago. But in the 90s, 00s, this company was the laughingstock on Wall St.! IT people don't want to work there, it's a dead end career. Pay was constantly at the low end on Wall St scale. The upside is back then, BONY was known to have a very lax environment compare to other banks. I joined in '06 because I wanted an easy job. I needed an easy job as I was working on my side job increasing my wealth. and I must say, it has worked out very well for me.
Monique’s resignation is a clear message to all of us that there is only one voice, one man, one bad idea after another leading our once great company. The saying that things will get worse before they get better does not apply here, things will get worse before they become unbearable.
It was never a great Bank. I worked there for 30 years before deciding to retire early last year as I saw it was going downhill rather quickly.
My advice to everyone is to start stealing office supplies, before you are layed off. At least then you can look at your c-appy stapler and say, “I got those b*st@rds before they got me.
I seriously don’t think they realize what they have done. They have forced out way too many good, experienced workers and managers. There are not enough knowledgeable people left to run the business, at least the part where I work. My new manager has no idea what we do, so cannot help us, and he is so overwhelmed with extra work, there is no one to help him. This has been so disruptive, and is getting worse as we continue to discover gaps in the knowledge base that was once so reliable. I cannot imagine that this won’t degrade company performance. For what? In a recent town hall, they said this was not a reorg to cut costs, but to escape mediocrity. Now we ASPIRE to mediocracy.
