Corporate Influencers

Because of the numerous onslaught of nonsense posts recently, I believe the person is a paid Influencer.

The purpose behind such ridiculous posts is to keep them 'active' therefore pushing relevant information down so it is not easily accessible.

It serves a secondary purpose by annoying people so they discontinue sharing legitimate concerns about the company here thereby silencing the voice of employees.

Pittsburgh Layoffs 3rd Week of May

I couldn't agree more. Those of us that have been left in a people manager role have no time in our day. News flash for anyone that thinks we are filling our calendars with useless meetings, all of our previous goals, expectations, responsibilities didn't go away when we inherited that new team(s), it just got piled on top of all that.

The good news is Charlie doesn't believe in work life balance so we can make full use of the 24 hour days.

Stay strong and positive. One man no matter who he may be cannot keep a good company down!

I've read numerous posts on this site, some positive, some encouraging and some that are clearly written out of clear frustration. I'm posting to remind everyone that the demeaning, frustrating , rude posts do not help our cause. I get it and understand why some of you are posting things like that but we need to remain strong and most importantly UNITED. Charlie may be the CEO but we need to remind him who we are and why we matter.

The truth is that there are lots of Charlie's out there and leaving BNY to go somewhere else is no guarantee of happiness. My job for instance at BNY is one that I love and cannot imagine doing without but I've had to catch myself several times over the last couple of months because I could see my own attitude turning negative. We all know that this is a very tough environment but we need to come together and show Charlie that he cannot defeat us.

The good news here is that we are making progress, our voices are being heard. The press here in the US and even in London are starting to publish articles that expose Charlie for his shortsightedness and genuinely being out of touch with today's worker. Believe that we are making a change, stay positive and resolute in our beliefs that work life balance matters. Keep your voices loud, contact the board members and lets make sure they hear loud and clear that Charlie and his outdated methods have no place here in our company.

It has become very difficult to have a positive attitude. Watching good people walk out the door leaving others behind who are now looking to get out. Charlie has hurt us badly and with the departure of Monique, which is clearly a statement of protest against Charlie and his crazed policies, we are in trouble. Everyone should be contacting the board, they need to hear from every employee if we hope to see Charlie shown the door.

WFH and BAU are going away under the Scharf administration. Make no mistake this is a Charlie initiative and if it were company wide it would be somewhat easier to swallow. Those of you referencing under the radar arrangements are probably right but how about the above board mandate that this is not a uniform policy across the bank. Operations people are the ones in scope here, many other teams are not impacted by Charlie's policy on elimination of WFH and BAU employees. While we are terminating a benefit for operations people, other areas of the bank are being allowed to continue with both benefits. Why isn't there consistency? Why is Charlie singling out his operations teams, penalizing them, treating all of us as if we don't matter? I'll tell you why, it's because he a f---ing a--hole who has no business running a Burger King let along a once best in class financial institution. Everyone should be writing the board members, they are the only ones that can take action and fix this mess.

Monique tried to stand up to Charlie but it's becoming clearer by the day that the King will not be second guessed. Charlie acts as if we don't matter and it's just not right. We need to join forces and reach out to the board because they are the only one's that can fix this. Write the board members today!

I like the Lucifer reference and Charlie has certainly earned it but we need to pull people together if we want change. The board needs to hear from us, everyone of us that are lucky or unlucky enough to still be employed by this once great bank. Urge everyone that you know to write the board members urging immediate change. Charlie has knocked us down but it's not to late to recover.

Monique’s resignation is a clear message to all of us that there is only one voice, one man, one bad idea after another leading our once great company. The saying that things will get worse before they get better does not apply here, things will get worse before they become unbearable.

It’s Charlie. His management style is the definition of how to get rid of great talent. The board has to act before its to late. Please everyone, write the board members it’s the only chance we have to save our great company. WRITE THE BOARD MEMBERS!!! They must hear our voices! #noconfidenceinscharf

Charlie has only been running things at BNY Mellon for a short time but in that time, he has excelled at showing how much of an a--hole he truly is. Charlie only cares about money, not the shareholders mind you and certainly not the employee's that work so hard day in and day out. He only cares about his own money, his pay, his bonus and all his other perks. Charlie has introduced new off the wall policies, including the elimination of based at home employee's while cutting way back on the number of employees that can work at home at all. On top of this he has forced all managers to rate 10% of their staff below expectations, regardless if they deserve it or not and then he uses those individuals as part of the next layoff. On top of all that he now has the management team running in circles trying to reduce levels within the organization so that we end up with a structure that makes no sense and does not allow us to effectively support our clients. He does not have the support of his direct reports, but unfortunately, they have lost control of things and Charlie is operating like a one-man wrecking crew, hell bent on destroying a 200+ year old company.

We as employees pray that the board recognizes their mistake and corrects it as soon as possible. We have no confidence in him as our leader and the board of directors needs to act to get this great company back on track. I urge all employees current and former to write each and every board member, urge them to correct what has turned out to be a very poor decision. Let's take out company back!
