With 20k in DCAI...it is time for major fat reduction. Between SMG and DCAI layoffs the others can be saved

Not long time ago (until Steve Ballmar was CEO), Microsoft was not a great company. And then a capable CEO took it over and turned it around (not 100% why i am writing this in Intel layoff page).

Once upon a time Intel was a great company until the Indian took over

@2dnz: how many people and FLM's did the SLM have in total, direct and indirect? reorg can split SLM's team, then no need for the SLM?

My skip level manager got ISP's last week. They're officially calling it a "re-org", but I confirmed with my manager that his manager did in fact get involuntary CPM'd.

Looks like no one's safe if even SLM/TLMs are getting cut. GLTA

My Intel friends were awesome, until they weren't.

You know what I mean.

Any specific teams or BUs being targeted? Or is this happening across the board?

@1tho Redeployment pool is just there so you can't sabotage your old team's work while you're on CPM

@1xyw+1u2F0bDN, sorry to hear. That's Terrible. Corporate culture does not understand these things and how they can ruin people's lives. One thing I learned after the ISP was that the friends inside Intel were the worse of the worse. When these things happen you will know who your true friends are and those friends inside Intel are the cr-p.

There is a redeployment pool. Is it even realistic to think that it is possible to find another Intel job right now?

Husband and I got notified yesterday. So unfair. They should not be able to let go of both people if they are an Intel couple.

Thinking about our options.

Email said the DCAI actions will continue thru November and eventually align with the corporate timeline. (Assuming they are holding some back until ERP is finalized.). So it's not just a day or even a week. Hang on, the ride is going to be bumpy for a long while. Good luck to all.

I thought the 23rd for VSP was a corporate wide thing?

It is ISP and it started because DCAI already did voluntary separation. No idea on the exit time on this one. Good luck people. This was 15 years of bad leadership!

ooooohhhhh, ISP......Death sentence. Be ready it's going to be a wild ride. It will take many years to recover depending on your age and where you live. Folsom or Oregon and you be moving. Ask me how I know ;)

You will survive though and learn many things along the way, like I did. Good luck guys.

Involuntary? Is DCAI on a different timeline than the rest of the BUs?
