Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Store time

When will Ford Management start to talk to us? every Town Hall or Building Ford Blue all they do is read to us. I fell like I'm at story time at the local Library. If they had any confidence in what they are persisting they should be able to "Talk" about it. I understand that they might need some notes to get thru it but when you watch there head and Eyes go back and forth reading........ Bill Ford talks to us.

I miss Moonbeams stream of consciousness huddle stories. Not sure which was my fave- the little red wagon, crayon on the wall or waking up every day looking in the mirror and picturing thinking aMary Barra across from him in a football game. Although I wouldn't consider that the good old days, it was certainly better than it is now.

We all remember how the question about bathrooms in the plants went... Epic.

1orc+1sYLHHv9 do you wear a all white suit and tell the boss "THE PLANE BOSS".. Get off of fantasy island. The Senior leadership teams vision did not work. Now they are trying to recover. With the current lineup for senior management that will not happen. unlike the late 70s when the big 3 were in trouble you did not have the competition you have today.
Sorry but as long as BF and JF are at the top not optimistic.

Town Halls declined under Farley? What about Moonbeam Hackett? Nobody can top his level of gobbledygook.

Agreed 100%. The words of a man who is out of ideas.

Didn’t Farley spend the last two years canning “naysayers”? Those were the people telling him his strategy su-ked and that we were making terrible content and architecture decisions on GE2. That you’re adding too much stupid content that customers don’t want and comprising the vehicle package at the same time. Now you’re concerned that our vehicles are too expensive? Get lost Farley.

I appreciated the comments on not releasing new products until teams bring strategy plans on how to make the profitable. What teams, exactly? Isn't that what leadership is supposed to do?

The Michigan Central Global Town Hall was one of if not the best Town Hall the company has ever had. Informative, positive, team building, and a spectacular venue.

What more do you want?

Farley should dress like a lady for the next one. Then it could be Drag Queen Story Time. Bill would love it from a DEI standpoint.

When people are failing at their job, when they lose control. one of the first things that happens is they lose the ability to have candid, logical, knowledgeable conversations because they lack the necessary understanding of what's happening, or if they do, they don't want to expose themselves as part of the problem to everyone else. They stop being transparent. My management team is going out of its way to micromanage and prevent transparency. There's no leadership or vision, and there's even some dishonesty and corporate compliance issues. But, it's a "circle the wagons" mentality with LL's. Always has been. This is what we're seeing in our town halls where executives simply pass the baton off to other groups to present. I hate logging into a town hall to listen to someone on another team talk for an hour about the great things they're doing. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for thole success those teams find, but I tune in to hear management and executives talk about their vision and game plans, not pass the buck to someone else to entertain me.

Less teleprompter and more note cards with a few bullet points. The canned speeches lack sincerity and come off as robotic. Someone should be able to talk for 20 minutes without a script.

Communication under Farley has gotten so bad. Nothing of substance is shared in Town Halls anymore. The messaging constantly makes excuses for executive strategy mistakes and pushes blame downward. Dishonesty and half truths are rampant. Terrible leadership and the rank and file see right through it.
