“Disclosing salary info could land her in hot water” - yeah at EM, where she could get ranked poorly or fired. Oh wait… it’s specifically protected by US federal law and it’s the employer who could get in trouble for punishing it.

Unbelievable, all the XOM kool-aid drinkers and wannabe legal analysts. You can discuss your pay with anyone you want to while currently employed with your fellow coworkers or after you've left with anyone or on any internet site all day long. Period. Let me say it again... period.

I've known her for years. She's wonderful, smart, and extremely kind. I'll miss here dearly. The absolutely nuclear level toxicity being shown here is a microcosm of why new and middle career people need to GTFO. Losers, boomers, and garbage people fester and thrive at XOM. Thank jeebus I'll be out of this dinosaur retirement home soon.

@1cls here

My suggestion of omitting salary/CL info was to stay clear of data privacy grey areas. Announcing it in a public forum was not consequential to the video's intent, so could have been avoidable.

@1nuv, I am unsure that the NLRA/NLRB would protect a public/third party salary disclosure like this. Any information here?

Losing a loved one is pretty world shattering, I wish her all the best in her journey. Would've been nice if there were more people like her.

I guess y'all don't know your rights. She can talk about wages all she likes.

@1etn Hello again Sarah. Agree with previous poster. Take your self promotion else where and be careful about what you are disclosing legally.

Disclosing salary and CL info could land her in hot water. Consider removing the confidential info, for their own sake.

She seems like someone brilliant at doing something her heart wasn't in. Definitely has ability, see the global awards every year.

Despite trying, the sincerity was missing in the YouTube post. Perhaps she's naive, hence the video and also the posting.

Seems like an attention seeking narcissist. What drivel. Move on and do something else with your life, good for you .

@1yyl: Materials scientist Penn State. I've known her since we hired her. Pretty sharp, fluent in Mandarin.

@1pkx: no, she's one of too many good 5-15 yr employees that have chosen to leave XOM.
Not O&G, but petrochemicals.

Everyone here knows that the original post all the subsequent comments are from the person who made the YouTube video herself, right? It was up for 23 hrs and had 24 views. No way anyone posted this (because nobody cares) except the person in the video looking for attention. Next!

Wonder if she was tagged as a HiPo, I’m guessing no.

Damn, I just left but had started a year after her (2018) and made $15k less. I guess everyone who joined in recent years missed the gravy train.

Good for her!! I wish her the best, and she really seems like a nice person and chasing her dreams. I wish I had the same courage she had when I was 30.
