My group in the COO organization is under a hiring freeze. Any others?

@1ptk+1lDUJCoJ, this is a deeply moving comment. I hope the management in your group truly sticks to their word and hire from that talent pool. We should always do what we can to establish an equitable work culture.
Hiring, but candidate pool is small because of location strategy limiting locations and hybrid in office requirement.
Great job by the OC of restricting the talent pool. Smart thinking.
I'll just say my LOB has to do with SharePoint development. No hiring of full time employees for now, but the manager said he might be able to pull in contractors as an alternative for the workload. The buzz in this group is that if any hiring even happens, upper management is leaning towards candidates from the LGBTQ community to help fulfill the company's initiative for diversity. that was about two weeks ago when I heard this info. I don't think any interviews have started.
My LOB has a hiring freeze as well. Layoffs next week.
Marketing is hiring for a newly created team under the worst manager in the org.
6 open reqs on my larger team. No new hires, just backfilling. We have been successful at upgrading the titles for the backfills though.
Incremental reqs have been on hold for a month and a half. CSBB here. Nothing announced they seem to be avoiding / canceling spend reviews lately.
There’s been a hiring freeze since 2017-2018.
It appears we are under some kind of freeze or restriction compared to last year. There were multiple jobs posted and now there are only a couple. It seems like more are posted in India and I’m not in tech.
Only if it's a replacement. We can't even hire a contractor to fill in for the person that went on STD.
No, just posted a manager role
My tech group has basically been under a hiring freeze for close to a decade. We've hired one new employee in the past 5 years, and that was to replace 4 that we lost. Getting that one employee was a year-long lobbying effort.
Since October!
