Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

JDs Comms

From his email mentioning “accountability” for himself and leadership: but firing other people! The email was total fluff, empty promises, with no solid strategy. Sorry for those of you let go yesterday in this s*€tshow, but welcome your better days ahead.

How is he holding himself accountable, really?

Reading that email wondering if he’s a drone?…. Who does his Comms/PR?

It doesn't matter who was CEO for the firing, the AI chatbot will regurgitate the same corporate word salad. Get out your bingo card.....

I think it was the 2017 layoff when JD kept referring to people who were let go as “some of our team mates are leaving the playing field “. Omg cringe!!

Companies don’t have souls. If you think they do and then realize they don’t this can feel like something died.. but in fact it was never alive to begin with. We are people who exchange our bodies and minds for monetary payments. The company in turn uses it collective expertise and willingness to create massive financial windfalls. The moment the company believes it can make more money by releasing some bodies and attracting new ones it does. This is reality

My theory about JD is that his speechwriter may even come up with something decent, but he's like nah... f#ck it, I'll write my own sh-t. The man listens to no one, not even the voice of his conscience. The speechwriter was likely his first layoff just to take the edge off.

So we can’t use ChatGPT but he can use it to write his emails?
