A new CEO & ELT that cares about the brand and not just the shareholders. I work in tech and agree with @1pyh+1ooM9xwG we are not a tech company and shouldn’t try to be one. Tech should be here to enable product, brand, and athletes to do what they do best.
We need all the people we let go that know what makes Nike special. Nike won when they led with the athlete and sport. Sportswear drafted off of that. Nike spent the last 5 years leading with sportswear and now the cupboard is bare. And the people who know how to do that were all forced out. It’s going to be rough for 2-3 years.
We need a soul. A passion for the athlete. The thing that made this company appealing in the first place. We’ve fallen for pandering to the byproduct of our greatness by supporting the sneaker heads. Or street wear. These people only exist because of the athletes that Nike put in front of them. Stop with the rapper, designer and DJ contracts. No disrespect to them, but this company is rooted in the heart of a man who wanted people to go faster. He wants people to break records and shock the world. People who wanted to win. We need the Sha’Carri Richardson comeback story. The Lebron James “I’m not done yet” story. Stop following the herd and realize that the brand is a shepherd!! AF1s are an old basketball shoe, not a new suburban trend. THINK ABOUT THAT. We are not a tech company, we are the MOTHER F***ing GREATEST ATHLETIC BRAND IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS.

we need a new head of HR that will focus on humans and not her pet projects pushing distractions that no one needs
