Let's face it, the only reason HR is pushing to end WFH is so they can drive up the rate of attrition. They know nobody wants to come back into the stuffy buildings with broken air circulators and have to wear masks for hours on end, while not actually getting to interact with anyone face-to-face. They know people will leave for better jobs. HR is too cowardly to even lay people off via phone now, so they just ramp up the ridiculous policy factor until everyone leaves. Nothing against contractors, but we'll all be replaced by them.

HR isn't deciding this....Frank and Tony are, they just make HR implement it. Then hiring takes forever because Frank wants to approve every req request. Control at it's finest.
Even better - staff up with contractors in Pune - not only do you not have to pay benefits, but they come real, real cheap.
Isn't that right, Frank?
Contract workers are the BEST for management. They get no benefits at all, and any vacation time is non-pay. Plus you don't have to make them perm workers ever, just string them along day by day. And if you want to fire them, do nothing when the contract expires for renewal and VOILA they are gone. See, absolute gems. Oh and forget a pay increase too. Never happens. No merit awards either. I know - was one.
Attrition is your friend
Contractors get the same benefits as FT employees. ZERO
@1qpy+1bH44qsy , Pull you head out of the sand and look around. The contractors they are hiring have half the talent, but they will look good on the financials because they don't need benefits. They can also them them go for any reason without a severance package.
Contractors are already being hired.
Absurd comment that no business person with half a brain would believe. Try again, with something a little more believable!
