Sooo...rumors are currently at an uptick about the site study finally being done and the results being announced soon-ish. (Some rumors are even for this week).
Wonder if the Clinton site will finally get the axe? Also curious as to how any site study results will get announced?

I’m not a fan of the company or all LD but agree with @3kld+1soh2OBD. Don’t spread false information about someone to just make a pointless statement especially when it’s known that she retired due health issues.
They will be offered a job in Houston but they will not be on expat status. They will be paid a US salary.
What happens to the Sarnia or Calgary teams? Are they getting fired?

After the NJRSC, anyone with a brain knew the clock was ticking for Clinton. The only people who insisted that it had a long term future were management reciting the official company line. I hope my former boss up there choked when the news came out, as he and I had a stand-up argument about Clinton’s viability.
So, 10 years after that expensive, pointless relocation activity, Clinton will close and a few lucky (or not) people will mince to Houston … essentially on their own dime.
Sounds like the end of Engine Oil and Grease R&D to me. To think of the money that was sunk into building that ILGU.
There's a reason why Linda was sacked one month ago. She opposed the closure of Clinton. Darren didn't like it and she was fired on the spot. Same happened to thee VP of Investors Relations when she told Darren not to sue our own investors. She was fired on the spot. Mike took over under the condition of shutting down these places because Darren and Kathy need more money for the investors. He was clearly unhappy with this but he got a promotion so he did it. He couldn't stand more than five minutes in front of thousands of employees and couldn't look at the camera with a straight face. It'll be interesting to see how this huge new mess evolves. I don't expect anybody from Canada or Clinton to move to Houston. It's a huge cultural change. And Houston just flooded badly again. This is just a headcount reduction in disguise.
Eventually, all R&D jobs will move to BTC.
Assume Calgary research people are not included in this?
Finally it’s out. Can the Clinton folks stop spamming these websites now with their questions. Ask your supervisor.

- Is there a severance if I don’t move? Yes, 3 months of salary.
- Can I be last one to move? Yes, if you are nice to me.
- what relocation benefits will I get? Standard with any move. Now we don’t give assistance to sell your house anymore, so that’s on you.
- what should I do? Talk to someone in your family and make a decision and stick with it.

That was weird, 5 min. Clinton, Sarnia and Calgary transition to closure.
That was one of the oddest announcements I have seen related to this kind of stuff.
Schedule a 30 minute call, wait for people to join for 5 minutes, read materials for 2 minutes and then hang up.
For those that couldn’t join they said this could take years, especially when mentioning Clinton.
