Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Disappointed from INTC leaders

On every webinar or earnings call they say it’s macro economic conditions impacting the business. Look at NVIDIA. Intel need to accept lost the game and has so much extra headcount which need to reduce.

Yeah Pat also said early 2022 Q1 demand looked great and HD ramp was fast and furious..

These knuckleheads can't forecast basic PC lifecycle ?! Wtf, Intel know better...

VPs reporting to VPs all of them either DEIs or stale managers who have Ben at Intel for decades and decades...

The end is nigh.

In recent SATG OCTO IT open forum,
Our CTO VP Greg asked three VPs reporting to him, "do you guys have confidence in INTEL future?" ....what a d-mb question.
VP ziya Ma started axx-kissing Pat, ELT, and her boss, and said she felt very confident in INTEL future...that's the funniest show of the week.

@1ryr+1ofxwecv Wow you're brilliant, you must have an impressive sounding title and getting a nice TComp. And you're part of the problem.

At least when NVDA jumps on the "hype" train, it's making money by the boatload.

Which company jumped on the hype for "drones" or "wearables" and lost money? Which company can't ship products on time, e.g. SPR. And if AI's a hype, when why did INTC spend so much money on Knights/Movidius/Nervana/Habana? And are any of those poorly managed efforts "winning?"

Yeah that $1.16T NVDA market cap must really sting.

"Look at NVIDIA."
NVIDIA is just taking advantage of the hype about AI
saying its GPU can do AI calculations quickly
they did not come up with a new product, they just market what they have well
its a bit of a marketing bubble

Exactly.

What is Intel’s competitive advantage in these markets? Zero.

First Pat tried to create a video conference business, it failed.

Next, Pat tried to used failed IA for HPC while Nvidia created CUDA, that failed.

Next. Pat is saying Intel will compete with TSMC in contract manufacturing...

Notice a pattern? With each failure, the CEO tries to take on a bigger competitor in an even larger entrenched market. This is the kind of bold strategy they won't teach you in B-School so pay attention closely.

The writing has been on the wall in bright flashing neon colors for years now. If you're still there hoping for a miracle it ain't gonna happen.

This turkey is done, stick a fork in it.
