Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Are Schwab blue tech leadership as clueless as it seems?

They trivialize how difficult this integration is. Green was at a whole different level when it came to supporting the active trader segment in features, performance, experience, support…list goes on and on. Blue systems are not ready for that, even app mod won’t save them. Keeping all TDA tech would have gotten them further in this integration than mucking around with their self preservation motives to keep TDA under their thumb. TDA knew how to get sh*t done, cut out the bull cr-p and focus on client value. It wasn’t perfect but light years ahead of this hot mess. Curious to see how March will play out once the bonus tab is paid.

@1tbo+1ek4rPAg This sounds exactly like my Blue team members. I think I know who you are.

Tim and Dennis laughing all the way to the bank. Don't like it, GTFO. No one on blue side cares about green. You got conquered biyatch. Doesn't matter that Tim and Dennis are dopes. They are dopes driving the car and you greenies are riding the trailer hitch. Hold on or let go, they aren't even going to hear the thump.

Schwab did a lot for TDA clients, by reducing commissions to zero.

Hey, come on. There are many places worse than Schwab. If you don't like it, you can leave. The bonus payout is on March 4th.

That is Schwabs mantra… buy up companies and run their products and client offerings straight into the ground. Look no further than OX, TDA, and USAA attrition.

Schwab doing so well innovating, they don’t have to acquire other companies to stay relevant.

TDA did such a good job they couldn't make it on their own and had to sell their business.

@OP+1ek4rPAg We know TDA could move faster. We just can't do that here. We're highly regulated. The most regulated. Thanks for coming to my All Hands.

Regulated.

Yes. It's just that simple. Yes, Schwab blue technology leadership is as clueless as they appear. Probably more. I wish the Green folks and TDA's clients the best. I wish we had the opportunity to continue to serve you.

I use to think Tim wasn’t that smart but his applications are way ahead of the curve on the log4j vulnerability. Long live Cobol!

STS is a train wreck. Hard to tell which is more dysfunctional, Tim’s org or IO&C. Really don’t care about being made whole for CD1 retention as when you break it down, it’s like getting paid $1 day to deal with dummies. Not worth stranding my career over.
