With us turning over operations of Malaysian assets to the government why do we need Malaysian expats? Send them all back to Malaysia for their eventual PIP. They can go work for the state oil company.

The person who post this clearly don’t understand how we operate our business and tech center. We don’t have operation in Argentina, Hungary and Thailand. Yet we have business support center over there. Like all company, you get what you paid for. Exxon Malaysia used to only hire the Crème de la crop and now they hire any person that comes with a degree that seems to be chemical engineering. That is why engagement with KLTC have such a mixed review. Don’t get co--y BTC, at this rate with AI soon all low value work will either be MSP or AI.

I’ve found Malaysian employees to be both capable and competent.
Malaysia is a modern developed country. Less so in Sarawak and Sabah, but peninsular Malaysia, especially KL, beats out many cities in the US. Seems like most of you crusty old EMHC types haven’t been there.
If you don’t like the business decisions of your executives, then go and take it up with your executives. Or you can move on. Whatever is easier.
BTC is all you need. Less cost, fastest work, and best quality! Only few rupees. Happy place.
Too much hatred on this site. Malaysia hosted our upstream production for decades with our US and Malaysian employees worked side gaining the same experience, with many going on to work KLTC. Not at all equivalent to Inexperienced low cost BTC staff.
PIP galore!
We from India BTC can easily do the job of any Malaysian for cheaper. We also like to be expat.
Appear to have struck a nerve. Many long term expat Malaysians really don’t want to go home?
KLTC isn’t part of the sale, so why would we send expats from KLTC back, other than to satiate your hatred?
