Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Minor inconvenience: STOP REUSING OLD ACRONYMS!!

MBA = New AST. MBA used to be Macy's by Appointment (now mystylist)

GSM = General Store Manager. GSM used to be Group Sales Manager (Now just sales manager, or technically sales/customer service manager)

If I see another one of these I'm going to snap!! Anyone else?

Again, remember the good ‘ole days? With so few associates on most selling floors, no reason to have and maintain the expensive scheduling software. Return to basics and handwrite the schedules. They’re never accurate. Management and HR spend the same amount of time “editing.” Customers may actually find a human to connect their anticipated shopping experience. Managers may be able to spend same time coaching and supporting their associates.
