Post pandemic is it even a competitive advantage anymore? Lay-off fears Covid fears a new normal of home office. Does a drive to Beaverton even sound enticing anymore?

It takes a million hours to walk between meetings because they care so much about ahead-of-the-game buildings. Seb Coe wasn't even ADA when it was designed. I toured a paraplegic and he couldn't get to his own meetings. And those stairs... don't get me started on those stairs. Plus, you do NOT want to know what they spend on those building openings, especially Coach K, which no one really used even at height of open. Get rid of WD+C's budget and the RIDICULOUS architect TVH.
All the fancy homes with property that the higher ups require are not on the east side. At any rate, you have to deal with too many people of color and poor folks even if you work there, so that's a big no.
tax breaks since the early 90s. a campus environment maybe enticing originally since it the swoosh was a shoe/sportswear company. more recent thinking has been why lease space outside the berm when you can build new and pull people back in who were feeling lonely in the satellite offices. IMO HQ should be closer to downtown or east Portland and not in stepfordland beaverton
Beaverton WHQ campus Is a power trip... makes no sense and most folks hate it. Do a poll...
OPs name Lol - “ Billions of dollars on bells and whistles”
whq is mordor
After my experience behind the berm I know watch out for beautiful facilities. What are they hiding? How bad is it that they feel the need for all this c-ap.....however, it was stunning
Honestly, I never felt the "power" of Beaverton WHQ campus. I never felt '"seduced" by; actually, every time I have to go to the main campus for a meeting, work session, etc. I dread it. The short answer to your question, from my perspective, is a resounding no. I think the whole setup is a marketing scheme.
