If you get ranked as a needs improvement are you put on a PIP plan? What are the options?

It is possible to be NI and not PIP. But if you are NI, probably no pay raise and definitely no promotions/ any slim chance of re-assignment-transfer or further development. You are stuck. Also if you are CL 27 or higher no RSU or EBU either. This is a signal to look for a new job.

I’m not the poster, but now I’m curious. Is it really possible to get a court order because one anonymous poster called another anonymous poster names and used the f word? If so, most posters on this site need to be much more careful.
Dear XOM employee ( @1wvz+1c0YG8hY),
I would recommend that you stop bullying people on-line or you too may be in the NSI category. Under court order, your IP address can be traced back to you.
How many times do you need to ask this question in a day you fu(king id--t troll? So obvious it’s the same loser over and over
PIP for MAC's in NI and anyone with <5 yrs experience.
I believe under 5 years of service you are PIP’d if you are NI. hopefully someone can confirm this.
No. No PIP for NI. I was NI last year. Supervisor told me where I needed improvement, and I worked on those issues. We'll see what happens this year.
You won't be placed on PIP this year but consider it as an opportunity to develop other skills and plan your exit
Depends on years of service.
