Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Minneapolis how are you coping?

How are you all feeling after they made you clean out your desk, pack your personal items and take it home? I’ve been down just thinking about it.

Full time remote employee in the twin cities area, was remote before the pandemic and now I’ll be required to come into a hub 3x a week. Throwing family life into chaos and not sure how I will balance in office requirements. No support or flexibility from my manager - looking for a new job after many good years at u.s. bank.

I’ve seen better days. Now just feeling defeated. It doesn’t matter anymore. Another pandemic will hit and they will scramble like flies trying to revert from this nonsense making up stories as they go. It will be safe to work from vpn again but only because pandemics somehow make vpn safe. My head can’t take all the gaslighting.

"Finally can connect one cable and have multiple monitors ready to go"

You don't need open seating to be able to do this. You just have to configure everything properly.

I love the open seating. Finally can connect one cable and have multiple monitors ready to go. I don’t care where I sit, and am happy to get lots of work done. Thankful for a job.

Feel like it’s on purpose. Pushing people to want to leave.

@1xdn+1sM7sIDP - it’s not karma if it has nothing to do with your own actions. More like a sh---y Senior “leadership” just sc--wing everyone over at different times.

Well now many of you know what it feels like , when you acquired companies like Elavon and UnionBank and the smaller digital payments and unceremoniously laid folks off without giving them a chance or interview . Karma is a witch.

Morale is in the trash. I’ve never felt this way in 16 years I’ve been employed here. It’s a sign that this is no longer a solid or safe place to work #usbanklifesucks2024

I’m going through depression. I was one that was impacted by layoffs after being there for almost 30 years. Job market is tough

Sad. Feel like a temp worker. Moral low. Feels like end of career and the start of being a temp worker. Guess that’s how they want to treat us

RTO to a crime ridden area is bad enough, but not having same cubicle setup as before, that’s telling how they feel about us, just another expense they want to rid of

It’s so depressing. I will also have to toss my legends maybe I’ll take a video of me doing this while giving the middle finger to AC and the dweebs who are gaslighting us.

First thing that went in the trash was the Legends, Shield and years of service awards. Where else am I going to display these—my living room? Don’t bother with those anymore

No pictures of my kids allowed, it’s rough
