P5/M2 Comp Range

Hi - I’m at the final interview stages for a Senior Lead role (P5) and being considered for another position as Senior Manager (M2?) in the New York area.

The compensation range for base goes all the way to 300k - does anyone here have any visibility into what would be considered a good compensation for P5 and M2? I know people have said that WF tries to give you below the mid-range of the posted base (so would be around 210k?) but I have no idea on what to expect about bonus.

Also, would the compensation for M2/Senior Manager be higher than for P5? The base salary range is the same.

P5 and M3 tend to have the same comp grade, but not all P5/M3 have the same comp, depends on group, but since you mention up to $300k then your comp grade is probably 150 for both. You'd probably be looking at a base salary between $150-200k. Bonus likely between $50-75k with a portion going to restricted stock.

Senior Managers get paid more through bonus. I think the base would be ~220k in NYC

A better question would be why would you want to come to this disease ridden horrible company? I mean if you are in NYC you have so many better choices. Run, don't walk to another company

It depends on the role/area. My area would pay sr lead and sr manager the same if their experience was the same. The manager just gets a larger bonus. I had an offer in another are and they don’t. They bring sr leads in at 150k and sr managers and 180k. They don’t consider them to be the same like the area I’m currently in does.

I think you're closer to $150k if you're internal.

After everything I've seen and experienced I would never again take a managerial position at Wells.
