@1xtw+1rdi2RFb Same thing here (except the Naples Fl part). What worries me the most is the lack of assurances fot the future. Hard to plan for anything when I only have the "now", like in "you don't have to comeback to the office for now" from my LL6.
Another concern is the spending to RTO for one week (I doubt the company will reimburse the trip and stay expenses). It costs over a grand easily. I know because I did that once, around a year ago, to work on a project. At the time, I forked the money because it was my decision (and I was saving money by being remote).
However, the more I have to travel back and forth for whatever "need", the less attractive is to be remote. Plus the growing possibility that the fully remote will be the first to go in the next layoff.
I am tired of the mental games at this company. Why the leadership is not honest? We are allegedly all grown ups and we should be able to deal with the news, good or bad. Even receiving bad news is better when there is transparency.
