Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Media

Has anyone submitted the recent announcement to a media outlet? I wasn’t able to find anything when googling.

Last week when we were in office for our hybrid week that we have been forced into doing since March of 2023 we received a bo-b threat. They set off an alarm for a tornado so we were all going to our tornado places. Only through word of mouth did we hear that we were to go outside because it was not a tornado drill but an actual bo-b threat. We were put out on the parking lot out in the open with no security as they “searched the building” for 2 and a half hours. We were then told all was well and sent us back into the building to go back to work like nothing happened. Nothing was said all day the next day about it but a meeting was called to tell us about RTO plans. I am surprised they didn’t have that meeting when we returned to the building from standing on the parking lot for 2 1/2 hours wondering if someone wanted us out in the open to shoot us all. A few days later an email went out with an updated emergency evacuation plan. What an epic fail and bad timing. Talk about cold hearted and unfeeling! That really hit home with me and left a seriously bad taste in my mouth. This one takes the cake US Bank!

Anyone notice how the uppers are now pushing their own mass notifications down to their groups and down our throat? Basically repeating same agenda back to office bull. If they love working in Minneapolis towers good for them, they should go. But forcing people to do the same is so out of touch with where we are in 2024. Mentally we are not in the same state of mind. I went to the office the other day and people love talking on speaker, some just naturally are loud. I tried to concentrate and do my work and it was nearly impossible. I was aggravated and got maybe 20% of my work done for the day. We got used to working in peace the last 4 years and this is very disruptive and annoying. If I go back it will be very minimal and definitely not 3 days a week.

My advice is to start documenting everything. What they do that appears insane forceful is likely immoral. Making you go to a hub you didn’t sign up to work out of is immoral and forceful. They just want control over us. Workers have rights. Document how they made you feel (did you start to suddenly feel major anxiety, sickness, etc.) document all the doctor trips because of this high anxiety. Just like the push of Covid jabs that are now being exposed as harmful (nuremberg code) there will be mass lawsuits over the criminal way these companies pushed us around like we are cattle. This is a new age slavery.

@1yhz+1qLmhUDv like it or not most positions aren’t customer facing. We have 80k employees and 30k are in branches. The rest are corporate. No customer contact.

Not much sympathy for those getting forced back into the office since many have been going to the office throughout the pandemic. Washing your laundry, cleaning your house and running errands will have to be on your own time and not the companies. Soooo UNFAIR.

Managing Committee in Minneapolis would welcome this media attention. It supports their downtown cronyism. Target in Mpls was roasted by Downtown Council and CRE owners for not requiring RTO and supporting a modern workforce.
Don’t give them the attention, this will catch up with them in their retention and recruiting
