Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

I got LR‘ed in February and it was the best thing that could’ve happened to me

Now, I’ve got a job at a company that’s growing like crazy, leading the way in its field, and super innovative. Employees can actually speak up without worrying about getting on some political senior director’s layoff list. I’m getting stock that’s actually worth something—unlike those Cisco shares—and I’ve got a professional manager now, not someone who’s only in his position because the senior director likes him (bo-t li---r). The senior director and VP here don‘t play favorites/nepotism and actually value the employees. Plus, I’m making more money, and there are real career opportunities.

And the best part? With my years of experience at Cisco, my knowledge of their dysfunction and main weaknesses, and my network, it’s going to be very to pull customers away from them - and my focus will be to win current Cisco customers be assured.

It took a while, but it was totally worth it.

Cisco's main competitor companies: HPE, Dell, Juniper, Ciena, Avaya, Palo Alto. All are going down except the last one. Hahaha, OP. You will be back at Cisco as a red badger.

@jqb+1uHmnQGK, I get that. What I’m trying to show is how Cisco is so d-mb for losing employees who have deep knowledge of its weaknesses and strong networks to the competition—and of course, we’re even more motivated to make life difficult for Cisco in the market 😉

Good it worked out for you. However, you realize that it’s not going to work out the same way for the majority of people right?

@dxq+1uHmnQGK, I’d love to, but the risk is too high that I’ll end up dealing with some incompetent nap-taker Cisco managers again.
