@2cwk+1fJWU6gG Your not to bright are you? Where did the post say Honeywell didn't make a lot of money? Honeywell AERO MANAGEMENT in Phoenix won the battle. Bendix/King as independent organization is gone (2005) and the Brand is dying or is already dead (Wasted 200 million dollars). Allied Signal harvested Bendix/King's most profitable product lines (Gold Crown, Flight Safety) and then when they where about used up they purchased the competition, Honeywell with their very lucrative Primus EPIC platform.
Honeywell Aerospace today is about where BK was in 1999, down to the last stalks of grain. Phoenix's is buying small companies to try and re-create what they had in 1997, which was a Conglomeration of brands; Bendix, King Radio, Garrett AiResearch, Global Wulfsberg, and Grimes Aerospace.
This is what Large Corporations do for the shareholder, EXTRACT VALUE now. There is no longer a short or long term view in business.... only NOW! The Garmin brand will still be in business when the Bendix King brand is finally put out of its misery. By the way the Honeywell brand is not well regarded in all levels of Aviation: GA, Business, and ATR. Dave Cote had to find this out the hard way. Fun Fact: Honeywell has tried multiple times to buy Garmin...... Always a NO!

/pours one out for my old BK peers.

They gutted the entire company once the pandemic hit. Two rounds of RIFs between May and June 2020. Those that were left were doing 2+ jobs. Many ended up leaving before 2020 was over as the writing was on the wall. I think a few "company" people were re-absorbed back into Honeywell proper. Not sure if they had to move from Albuquerque to Phoenix to keep their job though

Because garmin makes soooo much more money than honeywell?
If you think honeywell won the allied buyout you have zero business experience.
Allied bought honeywell and took its name to fix their brand issues.

Bendix King was destroyed by the merger of Honeywell and Allied Signal. The Honeywell side of Aerospace won. The HDQ was moved to Phoenix. The brand was left to wither and die on the vine. By 2010 Corporate realized their mistake by not defending the Enormous Market Share the Brand had in the year of 2000, 70% I think. In 2009 the brand did not chart, Garmin was and is the Number 1. Fun Fact, G K (Gar) and M K (Min) got their start working at Allied Signal in Olathe where the Aero HDQ was located. Those Geniuses in the HDQ failed to see the earning potential of GPS and it cost them dearly. This post will self destruct in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, .........

Bendixking brand reboot was given 10yrs and it failed to make money. It was reabsorbed. The the brand still exists, but the site was closed and teams spread around. Most stuff with that brand is just licensed.
