I have wanted to leave Chevron for a while now. There were few offers on the table, none of which I found particularly attractive. I was ready to leave even without the secured job. Seeing where the job market is going and the overall economic indicators, I’m now reconsidering my decision. I may actually try to stay here until I find something really better - no rush whatsoever, or until they laid me off. Not a good time to take any risks.

@2rut, = Finally a voice of reason. You get it. Congrats.
@2fnb+1uGyGRgG moth man you are troubled but you should be seeing a psychiatrist. Why on earth did you come here???
"Cause the light was on."
@oun why did the moth go to the podiatrists office?
So what you are basically saying is that this is as good as it gets. Whats the problem? Life itself?
If you think there is any chance of being laid off at Chevron, you might want to secure a good job elsewhere before the recession hits. I wouldn't want to be looking for job in 2025-26.
Let's hope you are let go soon lol
What else pays at least similar range of total comp and vacation for mid career petrotech transferable skills that's not Exxon?
You didn't make the decision to leave. You made the decision that there is something better but did nothing to get out. Now you are thinking there isn't anything better. Either way you have made no decision other than to be at the mercy of what comes your way. Have you tried going to a podiatrist office?
