Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Quite the business model

Treat your people like cr-p, and cut staffing so the remaining people have to pick up the slack.
Cut sales and support staff and undermine customer support which for the most part in CS is fixing the horrible billing problems. The billing structure is and has been riddled with constant errors for decades.

To me, this only yields unhappy people and customers. How sustainable is that?

Why would anyone in their right mind want to work there?

Free turkeys maybe?

Before Carrollton could pass them out, Peccarelli went in and ate all the Turkeys himself

Yeah, Thanksgiving Layoffs without the turkey. So festive.

It has always only been in Eagan. It is a tradition carried over for decades from West Publishing. TR considered stopping several years ago, but determined it would impact morale too much to stop - cost vs benefit kept the turkeys, retirees even come back for turkeys and cookies.

I saw peeps in Eagan got turkey vouchers… nothing for employees in TX or other locations. Weird.
