Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Enough of the jibber jabber about who will be named Fords next CEO. It's not going to be John Lawler or Doug Field.

Dave Calhoun Boeing's CEO has a widely known failed track record putting Boeing up on the blocks under his leadership. This is exactly the type of CEO, Ford stated they desperately need and why Calhoun will be picked to be Ford's new CEO. Calhoun will waste no time in cutting costs like a chainsaw at Ford. Don't be surprised when Ford, under Calhoun's leadership announces 20,000 layoffs. Calhoun will fire all Ford's experienced mechanics, quality inspectors and engineers. Ford Premier Design groups responsible for new cars designs won't be spared by Calhoun. To please Wall Street, Calhoun is going to gut Ford in order to quickly raise Ford's stock price. To pump up Ford's stock price even faster Calhoun will announce all current Ford car and especially Truck models will halt production. Calhoun will further demand that all Ford plants retool to build 1973 Ford Pintos which will only be available in yellow.
It won't be long before Ford is up on the blocks like Boeing is under Calhoun's leadership.

John is on the stage and will show the board that he can do it. JF will try to fire him as he sees him as a competition for the CEO role.

Ford is a multi billion dollar Goliath of a company. This forum insists that Ford will be bankrupt withing a short amount of time each and every layoff.

They won't.

Ford will be one of the auto OEMs that survives. Live them or hate them. Ford is here to stay.

Wake up!!!

DF and all the other leeches came onboard because they smelled the Government money and Billy and Jimmy are incompetent leaders looking for someone to bail them out.

Typical Ford trend.

Doug Field has diverse tech/computer and software leadership, plus, many years in automotive. That's why he was an excellent fit for Ford and being prepared to take the helm.

You call it a rant but you make too many excellent points. You’re right on the money with everything you said. It’s the elephant in the room in every Town Hall. How can I give a cr-p about my job knowing senior leadership is so lost? The BOD needs to find a CEO ASAP or else there’s gonna be a mutiny. People are pi---d off.

@hiy investors saw your comment, believed it, and that is why the stock price and sales volume are both down. Alexandra couldn’t manage her way out of a Gap dressing room without assistance.

LOL Ford+ Plan is an ineffective as a former CEO Clown Hackett's Design Thinking BS.
Doug has failed. Farley and BF know it. It's anyones guess but likely Lawler gets the job.
Pretty pathetic, it will be the 5th CEO in 15 years! Yep, that really gives investors confidence FoMoCo is doing well.
Pretty sad all the BILLIONS $$$$$$ lost - EV partnerships that went nowhere ( rememeber Ford invest $500m in Rivian , partnered with VW, dropped the ball with BYD ) - NEXT was a mess - FLV, hmm, who picked that loser? Least he got a nice mugshot! Shareholder cash used for MCS. Bill is delusional if he thinks that will really attract talent. LOL, As if any talent is coming to one of the most unethical companies notorious for layoffs! Hmmm, where are all those profit making subscription services Doug promised?????? A Lo ran away as fast as possible, the few production programs that werent postponed look like cr-p. And Lincoln?! WTF? The worst of the worst. Everyone knows the Ford family needs the stock to rise and fast, sure way is to oust JF and Lawler has been busy with the boys at Blackrock to make it happen. Thanks for allowing the rant.

Who cares who’s going to be captain of the sinking ship? Who in their right mind would want the job? The only way to do it would be to get BF out of the way and then you might have a fighting chance. But we all know that will never happen.

@bop+1t4a26V7. That organization is a failure. DF and most of his directors should be canned. How many years are required for something worthwhile to come out of team DF?

It will be Doug Field. Why else did Bill Ford give him the most important organizations within the company to structure and lead into Ford+ Plan?
