Hybrid compliance percentage

Wonder when the EMT is going to start terms for non-compliance for three days a week in the office?

no districts...no rules...PMs are even disciplined enough to go to the office for THREE days a week...

@cila+1jcihaY9, I’m so glad you mentioned the lavish office spaces we have. I’m friends with one of the project managers that oversee the renovation and build outs of our spaces. She basically has a blank check with no oversight. It’s obscene to think about the wasted money on office space using contractors that over bill us with impunity. And then they want to cut our benefits? Give me a break.

Why are we even debating or worrying about what Crown will do with the hybrid schedule? Jay, EMT & the board have already decided what they want and it's *sses in cubes/offices. Not sure anything any of us do/don't do will change that. Like other corporations, they simply have no trust. My bigger concern would be the changes that are being made to our benefits. It's one thing to pass along cost increases, which happens annually anyway, but there must not be a strong desire to attract or retain any talent as they nickel & dime every aspect of our benefits from "tweaking" PTO, lowering Benny contributions, and changing how & when annual performance plans are to be paid out. Anyone who has been here long enough has seen Crown spend money like drunken sailors on unnecesary travel, lavish customized, owned & leased office spaces. God forbid any of these "totally transparent" decision makers gets their own hand slapped, demoted or shown the door for financial blunders. Crown expects all employees to act like an owner, yet they do not walk the talk, as usual.

The Towers reorg has made the strict hybrid schedule pointless. By disbanding district teams and spreading teammates around the country, there’s no point in coming to the office most days. I can sit on Teams calls all day just as effectively from home as I can from the office. Leadership has made it so that I don’t actually work with anybody in my office, so what is the point of forcing me to go there under the guise of better collaboration?

@3coo, I never said BS supported my argument. I meant to convey that my boss lost her cool and said some very inappropriate things in a very inappropriate way. When I reported it, BS didn’t care about why I was being “counseled” in the first place. They only cared about making sure I wasn’t going to escalate on the the way my manager handled the situation. So they made her apologize and they’re pretty much leaving me alone. Hope that clarifies it.

As far as only caring about myself, we’ll yeah, that’s how Crown has always been. My attitude is no different than anybody else’s.

@3aze If BS backs your reasoning, they should change your status to remote. It is demoralizing to those of us adhering to the policy to see that it is not evenly followed or enforced. Also, most of us do not want to be required to return to 5 days in the office because of people like you who announce through action and words that you don't care about anyone but yourselves. No one wants to work with someone like that. Your attitude is a cancer contributing to our culture's ruin and the indifference you exude about your lack of accountability is a disgrace.

@2klr, when my manager first brought up my attendance in the office, I attempted to explain the reasoning behind the amount of days I attended the office. Basically, I used her ambiguous instructions against het and she lost it. When business support got involved, my manager was ordered to write an apology for her behavior to me and copy the district director. Suffice it to say, my manager won’t be bringing up office attendance with me any time soon due to violating the B3s.

As adults, I think we should be given the freedom to determine what type of schedule works best for us to provide our best performance and execute accordingly. That being said, EMT currently does not agree, and hybrid is the policy for most. Comply with it out of respect for our other teammates, at minimum, or please do go take your bad self to one of those other great companies of which you speak, preferably a direct competitor. I hope the B3 manager you mock was plotting your imminent release with Business Support at the same time you so arrogantly posted.

I’m one of those who hasn’t gone back to the office 3 days a week. I’ve been spoken too and I still only go in 1 to 2 days a week. I really don’t care if I’m terminated nor do I care if they change course and make us go back full time. There are plenty of opportunities with other companies that are full remote. I’ll simply go work somewhere else. But in the meantime, I’m going to keep my easy job at Crown where I’m very rarely held accountable due to my boss afraid of crossing the B3 boundaries.

Most of what I see on this site are valid concerns with the direction we have been heading towards as a company and the unfortunate change in our culture. However, having the hybrid schedule in jeopardy because people aren’t willing to come in three days a week is a self-inflicted wound. Can we please self-correct? I am encouraging my peers to comply. This is not an excessive requirement. I have compassion for those that had situations change during COVID but for the majority of us it is not an unreasonable request. Just my own observation and opinion. I fear that if we lose our hybrid schedule we are going to end up losing even more highly qualified teammates.

People are starting to receive official written warnings. Hopefully that fixes it so we don't all have to go back full time.

They need look no further than middle management. Reports only get away with it if their manager--er, people leader--looks the other way. Needless to say, the actual utility of office time is questionable for most employees. I didn't mind going back in some form; not seeing people for two years was a bit much.

This seems inevitable. Managers are receiving reports and reinforcing the policy on calls I've been on and from what i have been told, peers in other departments are hearing the same, so at least it's a consistent message. Wonder when this will lead to...it appears that you clocked in at 915am and left at 430p...please explain yourself!
