In Bratislava, Slovakia IBM laid off 520 people (including mothers on maternity leave) - 40% CIO, 25% Q2C. Last year it was 350 people. They laid off top performers, strangely incompetent managers are n e v e r touched by any RA.
What good can anyone expect from a USA corporation and USA ''values and culture''?
In God we trust, but we do Satan's bidding. USA and workers' rights - what is that???

IBM never shares those numbers. Just like they won’t share how many US employees are still standing. A week after my organizations layoffs, the new VP had a brief intro call , showed off a new org chart which included everyone on the RA list. What a waste of time and a slap in the face. Where is the transparency We hear so much about?

Check bluepages in a month to see who disappeared- that’s who was RAed.

I think you meant to say 10,000 That aline’s with the extra 1 billion savings that the CFO referenced (10k worth of head count equals approx 1 billion)

I guess it depends on what you call a "team", but in my day you could tell real easy who was gone by who no longer attended conference calls, were not included on e-mail distributions and who did not appear on Sametime. (Is Sametime still a thing? What does IBM use for instant messaging these days?)

Look to your left then look to your right. They're gone. Now look behind you cuz you're next

Big bonuses for the executives then as the personnel cuts will flow right to the company FCF.

If that is not announced by the manager, I think you would need to wait to see who is staying. By the way are you from Slovakia? I heard 40 % of all CIO team got laid off. It should be some 300+ employees.
