Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Zayo and Disneyland

I heard a new rumor that Zayo will get everything but Florida and Texas. Disneyland and all other venues in Florida generate more than 17 million a month. Texas just because of the EMT. Sounds plausible, but once again who knows.

I’ve heard secondhand that Zayo is reaching out to our vendors and NDAs have been signed. All that to say who the heck really knows what’s going on.

Crown doesn’t care about us, that much is true. The 3 Bs and purple are bull cr-p at this point. They lost their butts on the Rapid cr-p nobody wants and an EMT that cares for themselves. F this company, hopefully I’ll be gone soon.

Florida and California are on opposite sides on a continent. I and O are next to each other on a keyboard. They aren't similar mistakes.

youre a pr*, pretty easy mistake to confuse which state disney land or disney world is if you aren't familiar. Same way your d-mba typed "on" instead of "in".

Why would someone think Disneyland is on Florida

It’s heartbreaking that some people in charge are allowed to be verbally abusive on Team calls. BS does not seem to be taken any action to address our concerns. It’s an a major ongoing issue with Towers in the Gulf States

Yeah this is logical. Take an asset you are trying to sell and no longer want then break up into pieces and keep the bad one and sell it for even more of a loss.

This place feels like I am at Disneyworld with the cast of characters I observe in the office.

Because it won't be their problem, they needed the sales pipeline to open back up

If Crown is only going to be keeping a barebones low cap fiber team and selling lightower, why did they just heavily loosen the reigns on approval thresholds across the country?

But Boot capital said they had 25 people that could sale it for trillions.

This has been reported on here for months and is the truth. Zayo is buying lightower, venues were never for sale, and zayo has too much overlap with the fiber net network. Crown will sell lightower at a loss to zayo, keep venues, stop building new small cells, and keep a bare bones low capital fiber crew on the fibernet network. I thought this was basically public knowledge at this point.

The main reason this sounds hilariously clueless, is the “Texas because of the EMT” line lol. I’m not sure they care about Houston anymore being they leasing out every inch of HQ and all recent high level meetings have been in Canonsburg

@1nxn+1vpKj3wd To clarify, FPL FiberNet Holdings, LLC was a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, with a footprint in Florida and Texas.
In contrast, Lightower Fiber Networks acquired multiple companies and had a footprint across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest U.S., as well as in London and Toronto.

@1nxn+1vpKj3wd Lightower was in major cities in the northeast like New York & Boston and had a carrier class network. Fibernet serviced smaller cities like Rochester & Albany and had GPON network like the cable companies

Disneyland is in California. Disney World is on Florida and is Crown's largest and most profitable customer, it was never on the table. Venues have always been a cast cow for Crown.

Can you elaborate what areas are lightower vs fibernet? I have a general idea, but I joined well after all those acquisitions.

Rumor sounds like they are selling the Lightower footprint and keeping the Fibernet footprint. Believe it when I see it.

@OP+1vpKj3wd Disneyland CA?
Or are you saying that Crown is selling everything nationwide (fiber/small) except for venues (DisneyWorld, and all the parks) in both Florida and Texas?
