Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Mid year reviews

Mid year reviews are here and my department has to answer additional questions that seem like we are a) justifying our ability to do our jobs and b) having a contest to see which of us are going above and beyond (aka supplying free labor) our job description. I was wondering how many teams/departments have been asked the same this year.

@2q7 that’s true because when I was a manager I had to do it. Then it happened to me and I was laid off a week after the review - no PIP because they already knew I was going.

I heard they are required a certain percentage in each org to have people ranked at a “2” needs improvement. Then these people will be put on a pip

@OP My bet is layoffs are coming - probably in November - and this change in the midyear reviews is how they will decide who to cut
