That is a d-mb response. But hey we are on a layoff channel so won't expect anything different. The point wasn't about my number of recommendations but their recommendations as a EVP and SVP and how their past and present colleagues see them.

Not that it is a deciding factor but has anyone seen SS and JPs linkedin profiles? SS has received 1 recommendation and JP a whopping 3.
I have more recommendations than both combined. And I'm a G12 with a total of 13 years of career work experience.
These both are clearly not well respected.

Loose the Enterprise Firewall; loose the whole Enterprise Network.
Once an Enterprise rips out their Cisco firewalls and go to Palo or Fortinet, it is only a matter of the next annual renewals for the remainder Cisco hardware also to begin being swapped out.
This is the process being repeated over and over; especially for small and medium customers.
I do this for a living now.

Cisco will never catch-up in security and needs to sell off that unit to raise cash and reduce the $28 debt that incompetent Chuck caused
The security org needs a revamp ASAP. If security is anything we want to make any kind of noise in, JP cannot be leading it. With him playing catchup we will always be 5+ years behind

Cisco is much like an Oligarchy, at this phase of its lifecycle. There aren't any outside suitors wishing to buyout. An outside leader truly wanting to innovate with new technology, would start from scratch with funding and developing a completely new company, from the outside. Those "leading" Cisco now can indeed pull high-end compensation from the company; by "managing" at this long-term decline phase. If the current and future reality was anything other than this scenario, it would be great if someone could explain it here, as a reply to this post. Otherwise, continue to enjoy the downward decent to one's own inevitable LR.

It's frankly hard to believe how long Chuck and his band of ELT misfits have been able to hang on to their jobs. Cisco has wasted hundreds of millions of dollars on these imposters who haven't done anything to create new growth businesses for the company.
Perhaps Gary will fund a way to claw back some of the money they've been paid to sit in conference calls and share with us the details of their trips to exotic places. He's going to need the money once he figures out how broken things really are.
