so now its the membership desk responsibility to process donations, cuz management is to lazy to come out of the office to do them.

Membership should be doing their own. Our closing Membership people just dump it in claims and they get mad at us (Pm merch lead) like we are supposed to stand watch on the area at all times. We get enough on our plate and it's memberships returns, own your area own your work imo.

Back in the day that is exactly the way it was done . A ledger was at the desk - member comes in - their name was in the book - you process & hand them the giftcard . Simplest way ever — Glad they are bringing it back
Seriously. I worked the old desk for four years and I was the one responsible for doing the donations. Towards the end I worked the desk by myself most of the time, because they were too cheap to hire anyone else. So don't say I don't know anything about the desk. I worked the new desk too. Doing a donation doesn't take any more time than doing a return.
You obviously havent worked the desk alone all day everyday with no help and phone ringing off the hook and lines all the way to the registers so Im not lazy.
Sounds like you are just as lazy as management.
