Attrition - Too much for EM liking?

I keep hearing around the campus that the rate of attrition is too high for senior management liking and they don’t understand why people are leaving. I haven’t seen any efforts to actually retain people though across the board. Anyone hearing the same or examples of what XOM are doing to keep people

lol IT is a pain? I don't know a function that doesn't need IT, and you have no idea how much MSP sh-t your IT colleagues are shielding you from now... one day very soon we are all going to be outsourced, and I'm sure the one thing we won't miss is this group of entitled ungrateful brats called "our business customers"... my ar-e

LMM is right. Procurement and IT can be outsourced. You will be surprised that it is better for the organisation. They were a pain to work with.

On campus and other sites, forums being held in which employees that left EM and came back will describe how great EM is when compared to other companies.

This seems like minimal effort to convince employees that life is better at EM.

It would be more convincing to change policies to make life better at EM.

Forgot to mention that life is great at EM - only if you have a sponsor.

After the merger, ConocoPhillips gave everyone a 19/30 option. They changed the lunch time basis to 30 minutes, so people still worked 8-5, but the work time was 8.5 hours. Then you get one day per month off, as a flex day. You choose the day.

But then again they weren’t managed by sociopaths.

I am sure a 9/80 work schedule would convince people to stay.

Please start writing “We want 9/80” on the walls all over campus.

Whoever the artists are, please write it graffiti style.

Even if not get 9/80, management heads would spin seeing it on the walls everywhere kinda like Kilroy!

Nope. Management likes contractors and if anything happens. They blame it on them. It is not even mid to top management scope to understand what people do
