Businesses never have and never will pay taxes, their customers do. Someday you'll get it. So yeah, keep cheerleading for taxes on yourself, while falling asleep at night believing that you've "stuck it to the man". Meanwhile, 1.5 dozen eggs costs over $5. If only we tax and spend a little more, everything will be just peachy!

Helsinki Syndrome is an amazing thing to watch.

The truth is that inflation is out of control, and nothing can stop it.

Even according to the government’s own crooked CPI statistics—which understates reality—inflation is breaking through 40-year highs. That means the actual situation is much worse.

Conservative pundits say it and people on here repeat it like it was fact. Amazing that with no actual knowledge people will make statements like federal workers retire while their kids are in elementary school exaggeration. The rich and corporations are stealing your money with their tax dodges as the R's keep shrinking the IRS so they can please the business overlords who drive them.

Section "3b unsaid"
When you hire 80,000 extra headcount they just don't sit around, they have to produce to justify their jobs. Have you seen the cost of a federal pension, its no 401k match type expense, those guys get close to full pay and retire when their kids are in elementary school.

Quite literally it says that you will not pay more. If you are not paying enough, there is nothing that says they will not enforce your underpayment. Otherwise anyone under 400k would just stop paying taxes.

“ Section 3.5b
No tax increases on certain taxpayers - Nothing in this section is intended to increase taxes on any taxpayer or small business with a taxable income below $400,000. Further, nothing in this section is intended to increase taxes on any taxpayer not in the top 1%.”

@1thd -
Are you really that ignorant that you think the IRS will not target those making less than $400,000? You actually believe what MSM is parroting from the White House?

"The increased enforcement of the IRS will end up going after all the peons like us."

You poor schmucks who make over $400k/year get no sympathy from us actual workers.

I’m sure you read and fully digested all 755 pages of the article….

Let’s face it, regardless of the good intentions, there will be pork baked into this to pad some politicians pockets. The increased enforcement of the IRS will end up going after all the peons like us. As usual the people will end up taking this up the bo--y, while the corporations find some new loophole, or just exploit an existing one they’ve been holding in their back pocket.

The only impact is that the problems of the past four years under the Florida resident will start to be fixed and finally corporations that have paid zero tax will have to pay their fair share like the rest of us.

Not sure how spending more can decrease inflation. A better idea would be to shrink the gov't to half its size and reduce their burden on taxpayers.

Zero. This company’s RTO policy will drive all the attrition needed….which has NOTHING to do with the new IRA.
