Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Is Accensure buying AIG?

Low key buzz is Accensure taking over AIG at year end. Any level 24 and up leaders here who’d like to comment?

No reputable company would buy AIG. It is a dumpster fire with the worst Senior Mgmt and Board in the Insurance Industry. The stock is actually down like 20 to 30% since the new leaders too over 3 to 4 years ago. Most other companies are up that much....

Maybe L & R.... that is the only part of AIG that is worth looking at

And this news about from the current 24th of every month of payroll now moves to the last day of the month - this is an awful plan with comes from Indian HR Management - can't they think of better ways to manage it, well to merge in sync with current existing payroll for Accenture - unbelievable from such a big takers.

As previously informed, we are moving forward in the journey of integrating you into Accenture and are also in the process of aligning your pay day to that of the existing Malaysia Accenture workforce – which is the last working day of every month. This will be effective from July ’21 salary payout (On the basis that 1st July ’21 is the HR cut over from Accenture Operations Services Sdn. Bhd. HR systems to Accenture HR systems.)

Parasites don't want to k–l the host. They want to keep it alive at least enough to keep getting paid. All the big consulting firms have had their snouts in the AIG trough.

Don’t be silly, who wants to buy a nonprofit disaster? Just milk it without the ownership. Accenture is smart, AIG leadership not so much

I'd imagine someone else will buy GI but definitely not Accenture. They don't have the capital for it. But this is definitely a move done to attract buyers. AIG has been a sh– show for the past 3 years. Everyone needs to update their resume and get the hell out. AiG has shown numerous times to not give a f— about their employees. Stop waiting for your severance package which im sure will change soon too. BD has been a cancer to AIG s—ing us dry and now PZ is another privileged individual who only cares for his 1% buddies. RIP AIG.

Accenture probably have a good deal by absorbing AIG resources. There are leaders from Accenture has been on AIG project has joined AIG last year and they have been working on all the new upgrades and implementation collaborating with AIG SME's. Don't AIG have their level of expert to get this done? What happens next with Accenture, too many AIG resources they are going to absorb, and with me on the fencing along with my team mates will probably have the same faith - pay cut or layoff once being absorb, is a concern. Well by end of November or even earlier will have more info. This is like what happen to AIG Mainframe folks -> sold them to IBM, With two decades of operation folks went off without any perks, just that leaving them behind with job security.

This announcement is vague. Is AIG selling the offices in these countries to Accenture? All the AIG employees in these locations will be transferred to Accenture? What about IT resources in KL and Manila?

It’s Accenture.

is it Accensure or Accenture.

Accenture is in IT and services, I'd say there is no way they are buying us.

Accensure is a South African isnurance company, loaded with money but I think uninterested.

This is just the start of it. I am told more announcements will be coming before the end of the year. AIG is having trouble growing their business, so they are resorting to outsourcing and layoffs. BD will be retiring in January 2021. PZ will be charge in February 2021. They will sell off P&C in piece meal and AIG will become just Life And Retirement company.

Think of this logically. You hire the highest paid ceo in your industry (BD). He hires another guy (PZ) to actually run the company. PZ hires all of his exec friends from around the country to fix AIG. They fail horribly. End of day AIG pays hundreds of millions of dollars for leadership over 3 plus years. They can’t fix AIG.

Then the leadership being paid hundreds of millions hires Accenture to run the company for hundreds of millions more dollars.

Stock is at $26 a share, less than half of its price a year ago.

Ask yourself if you really see a future at AIG? If you do, then you get what you deserve.

Sorry to be so honest, but someone has to be.....

Don't know how AIG will handle the transition of employees, but typically you lose all your seniority. Knowing AIG it'll be that plus more backstabbing to the working guy.

A true sign of inept leadership. The stock is hovering around $26 now. Nice job!

Do these employees going to Accenture get a severance package from AIG?
Just curious.

Wow, AIG hired high priced execs to hire high priced consultants to basically outsource the problems to companies that have virtually no stake in the company. What could possibly go wrong?

Everyone gets paid except long time employees and customers.

What is that I hear? Oh, I think it’s the fat lady singing. RIP AIG.

This makes no sense, Accenture isn't an insurance company.

In my opinion Accenture is preparing individual business units for sale as AIG will begin to sell off GI in the near future. Accenture is putting lip stick on the pig right now.

I doubt this. They have their own problems as we do....except I think we have more.
Unless, they are cleaning house getting ready to merge.....but....I really doubt this story.

Since they have been at AIG for a while and know what a mess it is....why would they buy AIG when they can charge 100’s of millions of dollars in management consulting fees???
