You may see me in the office, does not mean you need to speak to me. I am not interested in small talk with y’all. If you really need to talk, schedule an appointment with me. Thanks.

@2xyi+1kbz2pCp - not at all. The post here was simply concurrence/empathy with a colleague who shared their experience.
For those who try to waste my time in the office with idle chit-chat, believe me, i am much more direct.
If they seem like a genuinely nice person, I might ask if they need anything specific as "I am late for a conference call".
And duck any eye contact, which pre-empts the start of yet another vacuous pointless convo. Sorry - but I'm just not that into you.
So your solution to people making small talk with you is an anonymous post on a website for company layoffs. I see your problem.
Totally agree. There is no one in my location that has anything to do with my job. The longer these people blather on, the longer I have to stay to do my work.
Not everyone wants to waste time chit-chatting with people at the office.
Just let me do my job. Read the signals, people!
Wow so anti social. Maybe a job in solitary confinement would be a better fit b4 you die an early from isolation
Agree. No need for small talk. Most of you I don’t like, but forced to work with you
Wow how not awesome that sounds. I dislike RTO, you dislike RTO but there’s no need to be childish about it
You sound fun!
We are not the enemy!
Then again why do I see you howering around C suites every time I go get water?
Brian is that you?
