Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Turnover has never been higher

This looks almost like a mass exodus to me. Attrition doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. Is Crown finally going to do something about this exodus of most talented people, stop it or try to slow it down at least?

It was my experience there that if you worked hard and accomplished things they fired you. The majority of people that actually pushed and got things done were fired for making the slackers look bad. Once they were fired the project ground a halt. They were told they needed to stay in there lane and not push other departments to do their job. They hired 4 people to replace me when I moved to another division in the company and they are still turning in the design work I did 3 years later.

I was a victim of the Phony 3 B'S. Speak your mind around here and you are gone! Mgt knows all, they keep the politically connected do nothings in their seats and get rid of the people who actually do the work. The sales VP I supported was without a doubt the biggest jerk I ever worked with in my life!

Why? We can just continue having the remaining people do everyone else's jobs and not backfill because nobody wants to work for Crown.

Even the temp companies have trouble getting folks in the door, when they tell the applicant the position is at Crown, people run for the hills. Churn is so high even if folks do get hired, they leave after tasting the 3 Bs.

Many teams aren't affected and they are paid a lot and do very little. Nobody's aren't rushing to change the culture because the decision makers aren't affected by this at all. Until the investors are horrified, nothing will be done. Money comes in, operational-level people get ground into meat, stock price goes up, they leave.

Sides, if we do hire anyone else, they'll be cheaper! It's a win-win

The great years stopped when Crown started buying all these fiber companies. Crown is still a good company to work for and if you say anything different then you don’t have much experience on the outside. It used to be great, now it’s good… It’s probably still better than most companies…

You haven't been here very long. 2017 was the last of the great years. 18 wasn't bad. Just keeps getting worse.

Folks are just realizing that Crown isn’t what it used to be. The cool aid has soured. Lots of great opportunities on the other side. We just had a young talented leader resign from our district. The exodus will continue. I stay because I am overpaid, the benefits are good and I don’t have to work hard.
