My husband was laid off in 2018. It was a heart breaker! His best buddy from work was laid off too!

To Post ID: @3Nsrr+125WogIv no it's not overseas. It's been sent out to a Vendor. I heard HDI will also transition to a Vendor. MMS will be shrinking again in the 4thquarter.

Yes another group bites the dust!
Dme Workman compensation all terminated.
All overseas.

It was done by reading off a script and Management not on the call. It was read off a script that employees are terminated after this call.

cold as Ice just as expected with AIG

With the bonuses Senior Management received, the employees should get another $500 grant. They can write it off.

They keep bringing in new consultants just to tell them to lay a ton of people off so they can inhh gg late their bonuses waaay beyond what they deserve. Look at the annual report and post on this site. Leadership got 200% STI.... I bet most of the people barely got 100%

Worked at AIG in finance 2007 to 2012. Saw some of the most inept leadership who I wouldn't want working at my local 7/11. CFO of my business group said in early 2008 the company had limited exposure to real estate market. Either a liar or really dumb or both! He even put it on powerpoint! The less you know the more you get ahead. Not what you know but who you know at AIG.

Coronavirus will accelerate the RIFs and there will be little to no investment to move the company forward. Employees are now screwed for some time as hiring at other places will quickly dry up. Yet the Execs will get their huge pay packages

Layoffs are a fact when working at AIG more so than other places. One thing I have noticed in my tenure is a preoccupation with reorgs and Game of Thrones management power struggles than actually running the business and supporting areas like IT. What concerns me is that key positions like CIO are occupied by blokes who arent just ignorant but are actually stupid.

I agree with Post ID: @1gbgs+125WogIv. Not only is this the worst leadership, but they are by far paid the most with more senior leadership than we have ever known and more created positions than we have ever witnessed. Very sad.

All I know is leadership here is by far the worst I've ever seen. AIG should have gone the same path as Bear Stearns.

to Post ID: @125WogIv-Vxff I agree. If you handle claims, beware, the new direction is to have most of the new business go to TPA's. It's happening little by little and not much of new business is coming to AIG Claims Services. We are writing the business but it's going to TPA's.

Get out while the getting is good, unless you are waiting for a RIF package

The execs hire their friends, give them big pay packages and relo, and give everyone else the shaft. It's basically a nepotic dystopia. Let's give the Accenture folks coming on board at big round of applause, as I hear they have all the answers. Not.

The RIF's are here and had begun this week. More to come this month and continue throughout 2020. They want to make this company very lean Except for Senior Management, of course.

BH lease may not be renewed. Most of the company will be working remotely from home.

Probably 5% reduction a year for the next 3 years!

When you say Berkeley Heights going away, what do you mean? Are you saying they're not renewing the lease and everyone work from home? Or, everyone in BH getting riffed, no matter the dept?

I expect 5% HC reduction. Berkeley Heights will go away. Offshoring IT and Finance functions will continue. Automation will make more people redundant. Anything else stated by stuffed shirts is BS.

what parts of the country are the lay offs

Medical Management Services. They handle managed care for Workers Comp claimants. Since WC adjusters were riffed, the question is what is going to happen to the services that support the Workers Compensation business.
