Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Work from home

Just say that the company starts enforcing return to office. If you were at a business center (FMCC) prior to WFH, such as Tampa, Greenville, Nashville, etc, what’s going to happen to those employees? From what I understand, if they haven’t closed the business center, they’ve subleased them (maybe?). Will they reopen those centers? What about Greenville? They don’t even have a business center. Most people I know are now on vastly different teams from when they worked in the office. The logistics seem a lot more difficult.

@3bwy+1pt3tak1 Spoken like an LL6

It’s weird, I am one of those who focuses on getting things done. I had no desire to be an LL6. One day I was pulled into a conference room with LL5 and told surprise you are an LL6. We want to keep you, the only way we can pay you what you are worth is to promote you. I begged them not to announce that I was promoted, no dice.
So then I had to attend the department LL6 weekly meeting. And all but 2 other LL6 had the attitude that they were so special and all the GSRs were just jealous of them. The two LL6 who didn’t have that attitude had a similar promotion back story. It was plain disgusting how they talked about the GSRs and which ones they targeted as next in line for promotion. They had zero respect for the people who were doing the work, they only respected the ones exploiting and manipulating their coworkers.
And the kicker in 2018 the LL5 told the 3 LL6 who were promoted to keep them, that all the other LL6 had told the LL4 in skip level meetings all sorts of untrue negative things about them, and to watch our backs. In 2019 the LL5 and the 3 LL6 were all SIRPed.

So no quality GSRs don’t have LL6 envy, they know who and what you are.

Some of you have LL6 envy. No wonder why you can't make it to that level with your cr-ppy attitude.

I can't really complain about working from home. It's has been the best 3 years is my 15 years at Ford. I make more money for putting in 2 couple of hours per day. I have more time taking care of my personal business, my kids, my house, my yard, and my boat on the the lake. Less stress and I am more efficient. All good.

Gosh these wfh employees are so lazy! How else can I as an LL6 prove my worth if I have no one’s desk to stand at all day. I now aimlessly walk around the office. Heck the other day I actually had to create a PowerPoint but didn’t understand how to save it so I had to ping my ungrateful fcg to do it.

Sigh you think you can hit 350 lbs sitting on your butt at home. You need to roll up your sleeves and make me look good. I mean help the company. This pension doesn’t pay for itself you should be grateful we pay 60% the going rate and give you 1.2% every year

Deadwood is Deadwood weather in the office or not. I would start by cutting 80% of all LL6s.

Thank-you for your posts. This is EXACTLY why Ford needs to cut the heck out of the workforce. People doing nothing, adding little to my investment in Ford. Ford Management!!! Are you reading this stuff? Do your dang job and fire a bunch of your slackers. Get everyone back into to the office so you will at least see them doing nothing and ask the vacuum the dang floor!!! I have had it. When will you???!!!

I'm sure DF would be in the office if it was possible. As would others who work outside the Dearborn area.

The folks in FMCC in Dearborn were moved to WHQ in January. Most of the folks in WHQ are still WFH until the Dearborn Campus is complete. Estimated completion for the first phase is 2025.

I believe they had designs to outsource all business center operations to India even before WFH (except call centers). For that reason I do not expect they will require RTO until they move the higher level operations and management employees to Dearborn
