Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Ex-Nike exec's son abused family discounts to pump up sneaker reselling business

So now it is proven out that WCJ was indeed cheating the system for years and it was reported multiple times. Here is the article below. This is a very clear cover up for the VPs kid. If it was reported several times than store managers, district managers, loss prevention, retail leadership, and comms would have known. This is a multi departmental cover up for WCJ. But we are laying off 20 year vets. Heads should keep rolling.

@3hhv, speak up? Where? How? What possible outcome other than retaliation and firing employees who speak up will that do? There are people against whom there are several HR/ER complaints yet they are still at Nike. Next time you choose to criticize people, know your audience and be logical.

appreciating all the excited and morally correct reactions here. Please look around you, there are people who you know personally and they are doing the exact same thing, buying cheap and selling online. There are people you know and they are renting their company cars to uber drivers during office hours and weekends. There are people you know and they are pretending to work from home but they are working as ski instructor in winter and surf instructor in the summer... Unfortunately filth is everywhere. now you are acting surprised, how many of you has taken the initiative to " speak up"? so far.

I’ve never worked somewhere with such inept “leadership”, the wrong people get put in director roles and take credit for other employees work when they can’t even do the work themselves. They play favorites and don’t look and results or listen to new ideas.

What's up with her Instagram? It has got to be the strangest thing I've seen on the internet today. Does Nike produce the content for her? So odd.

This is consistent with the "Speak up" hotline. My pre-CDA boss WAS investigated 3 times, for 3 SEPARATE incidents, and is STILL employed. It's insane how some people are "protected"...

This is not the first, or last, time that HON has been caught red handed. She will make sure the people below her pay for her misdeeds. She will not take responsibility but rather throw others under the bus. Nike will continue to send checks to those she has harmed.

HON will literally watch the people closest to her burn in hell before she takes responsibility for her continued unethical behavior. And Nike will continue to pay dearly for her lack of awareness, self-control and integrity.

Let us not forget HON was a follower of this kids insta waaayyyyyy before the scandal broke. The cover up goes all the way to the top. Store managers, District Manager, and Loss Prevention are low on the influence scale and unlikely to have stopped any investigation. That would have taken place directly at corporate by a very high up leader. And who was in charge of Nike Retail all these years, overseeing all these roles?! hmmmmm... or should I say honnnnnnn.....

I agree. The board should be demanding more resignations. The rest of the workers were not even allowed to sell already worn shoes at their garage sale. But this was okay??? I think more VP's need the axe and not the productive workers who are being released.
