New team commission trending low

So in our store as we are 1/3 through the month we are trending for a 450.00 commission check. I realize we are getting a guaranteed check this month but if this is a sign of what the new normal will be it’s awful. We are actually doing great with new lines and sales dollars it’s just surveys are decelerating us. Most of the negative surveys are things that are out of our control.

@3joi Where do you work ?at 1 to 1 ? Here in Nj its 5 to 1 (its new verizon math made up by a GM who doesnt care of the stores safety!)just numbers ! A store who manager cares you should give him a shout out ! Get rid of these surveys in a spiking pandemic!

We went from 1 1.5 to a 1.0 because we got a survey complaining they they could not bring their entire family in. Great. Will Verizon do anything about that?

Just found out the customers are getting surveys on curbside pickup? After,our store got a score of 3 because the coments said it was hot and steamy out and the reps were not quick enough? As ,I speak the team is being couched on what our GM thinks we should do and say! .
Its become quite apparent on the constant anti rep beat down we're getting everyday. If you think you will get 1.5 acceleration on commission in an BAU store it will be the exception not the norm. Also,no tea. selling going on here! Its like pre pandemic (every one for themselves! )Offer severence and make an exception For employees with 10 or more years offer 3 weeks instead of 2 and most will jump and move.

Our store has been on team commission for 2 weeks. I have not seen one instance of team selling and I've seen more and more reps hanging out the break room. Because, they are throughly intimidated of getting a poor survey by no fault of their own. They will be ostracized by other team members because it effect their multipliers and deceleration of the paltry commission target. Very little toward self motivation and a store morale buster. A0nd that's only after 2 weeks!

Let us not forget that the team commission program was trialed over the last several years without any success. No sense in beating a dead horse the new normal is here. Personally I believe they should have just eliminated commission altogether. The new checks will average 500-600 if you are lucky. What kind of motivation is that ? I guess if you were/are a low performer it’s like striking gold. What a butt backwards company this is.

@2hmi+16nM0Mi4 The writing was on the wall to eliminate commission altogether not this farcical team thingy. To be fair the current program would work if all the employees were never on the old program. There is going to be a lot of animosity in the upcoming months. Severance packages should have been offered to those with significant income level drops if not to everyone. The new morale buster will be when you see the dramatic variances of team commission pay outs from store to store. Each store is run different as to making appointments, purchases , tech questions, curbside etc. Your buddy who works in a curbside and appt only store will be selling a lot less and have an easy time doing nothing yet will end up making a higher team commission check then you. Watch and see.

Whats very troubling,I found out today that a GM in a busy Northern NJ store believes that the virus is not dangerous and believes it could be a hoax and is not scared of it! Thus He, He is jeopardizing the safety of the staff working, because of his personal believes?So consistently he has been not adhering to the 1 customer to 1 rep ratio. He has been letting families of 3 and 4 at time in the store and many times we've had more than one to one ,as many as 25 customers to 5 reps 2 managers. Let me ask you? Should the company have someone running one of their locations being run on the basis of personal beliefs or company safety protocols? I understand the store has to be profitable but there has to be some compliance and overseeing by the GMs too make sure that these news are being managed to what the company wants regarding employee safety.

I’ve come to grips of not making a commission, just taking what comes in which is tech or billing questions, and solving the issues and getting them out

The company pushed online tools for years, the writing has been on the wall that it was coming to this so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone

Welcome to life as it’s been for years as far as surveys for customer service! And they dictate the schedule bid we get and our raise yearly and holiday bid and STI bonus

If you go into the app , you can put not available for that day! Read all the anti surveys inputs on this site and you will see the reasons Verizon is making the surveys a measurement, the brand favorabilty decliine and lower payouts to employees all during a spiking pandemic its very employee centric. By the the most unbelievable surveys are for curbside pickup where we hand them a bag Very unfair!

Ok...please explain to me why you can not request a day off during the week without using vacation time? All you have to do is tell your manager what day you would like to have as your day off, with at least a couple of weeks notice and you should have no problem getting that day off. Unless your manager is an a–hole.

That is what Krista wants. Verizon don't care about you..over the COVID c-ap Verizon customer service surveys have been at record lows. So what would any logical company do have these surveys dictate how they pay their sales reps. I am still shocked every day how many people buy into the VZ bull. The lies are endless. more flexibility yet you can no longer request a certain day off a week without using vacation time. We really think you're going to like this new commission plan. At the same time we know the customers will hate it and we're going to make it impossible to make sales unless you go online.
