BMRF losing talent fast

BMRF is losing American talent very fast. Folks from Tech centers are replacing American talent. WHY is HR silent about it? Are our sister US refineries doing the same?

The main reason people leave Beaumont is the location (usually, the spouse gets a job in another city)...If you are not a high performer you are trapped there and the only way out is to quit.

HR doesn't exist anymore. And when they did, they actively worked to help drive jobs to the tech centers.

@3oyq More like recognizing the futility of complaining about something over which you have zero control

@3epe Ok so now I get it. Steer it in with no grease and just roll over and don’t resist. You are a genius!

Embrace the change so you can influence it and steer it. Resist the chance and it will steamroll you

@zue You have got to be kidding. More like they are the problem. BR managers are inversely proportional to success.

OP all the talent is gone. Darren piped it in the last six years. There's no knowledge left or very minimal. XOM hasn't any competitive advantage left.

@2nlr As usual, nothing but nastiness from you.

@OP There’s no talent to lose.

@1ufk Current share price is $102.34 with $410B market cap. It wasn’t long ago that XOM stock was trading at a 10-year high. Company seems to be doing fine. If you quit today XOM would still be one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Managers: tell everyone to their faces nothing will change for years.

Not 4 weeks later, big change introduced where positions are consolidated. Should have seen that coming. Bet there are more coming in the wrong direction. Does anyone actually ask for input in any of these bright ideas and if so, who? And are any of the inputs from others listened to? That’s usually a sign of good leadership.

I guess not. Classic Exxon. And folks wonder why it’s so hard to trust leadership these days. Managers are so out of tune with their people (by the way who are the managers, which ivory tower are they hiding in)?

Does anyone get held accountable for poor decisions anymore? Or is it a complete free for all? Wonder how long until the union comes to the O&A plant to make it better. Maybe then we’ll see leadership and learn who they are vs getting endless useless emails from them?

Ohh, what happened to rewarding the people who got things done vs the people who look nice or speak well but don’t add ANY value at all? That’s how our share price will tank. You need to be able to deliver results. We used to value that before we got soft. No wonder we are not competitive with other companies (unless we bake the Group being compared with). In other companies that would be called bias, or cheating.

Attrition in Baytown is lower than previous years. Come to Baytown.

Baytown embraces TMTS more than any other NA site. You can see that on their TMTS alignment KPI.

The culture in BMT is atrocious and has been for years. The O&A chemical plant next door is really bad. Management has really pulled that place to an all-time low. PLEASE sent us some more Baton Rouge leaders they are the best!
