There’s definitely a package for associate titles in PA and DE that I’ve seen with my own eyes. Glad to see the Union /Management relationship isn’t any better here than it is at work...

Notice no names, no sources and that link is troll link to a union website. Post a link that outright says Verizon employees are offered a package and there are staff reductions. There is NOTHING posted on VZWEB, nothing at all.

Post your sources so we can check them out... Post a news article! I see nothing but Union dogs trolling on this board as always.

@2mbr+17mGxzNk: You might not get an offer but that doesn’t mean there won’ be one.
There WILL be an offer to SET’s in the Philadelphia area.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Back when mcad**s was here. He did a company wide broadcast on a Wednesday and in the Q&A at the end was asked if there was layoffs coming, he replied No,and went into a little more explaining.
The very next day there was massive layoffs. Management will tell you anything to get you away from that line of talk, don’t trust anyone.

I talked to my manager and my director this morning and told them I would like to take a package if one is offered. Their answer "Their are no packages being offered as there are no reductions in the pipeline."

All these postings here saying there are packages being offered and there will be a reduction is just complete poppyc0ck. This thread is pure troll bait.

Any chance of them adding time to this package 6/6 ?

Stop with the Union talk troll. These are non Union full time employee layoffs we are talking about.

What about for management? Any packages / RIFs / VSPs in the works for us?

Hoping a package doesn’t come out, don’t need anyone leaving and they need to backfill into “working” positions. I am very comfortable in my group, hoping to stay there another 6-7 years. It’s getting harder and harder to pretend I do something on a daily basis.

@1nid+17mGxzNk: A “package” in this case means free money to anyone near retirement.
Nobody is worried about their job or being laid off. You wouldn’t want an offer of free money?
You clearly know nothing about this.

Wait a second! I thought all you union workers have nothing to worry about, why are any of you complain or even talking about this? Clearly you all have said over and over and over that you all have jobs for life with not change of being laid-off...

Seems to me there are clearly a lot of union workers worried about their jobs and a package 😂

Let’s see.
There’s ALWAYS an offer somewhere in the company in November.

@ucw+17mGxzNk: There IS truth to the rumor. SET’s in Philadelphia area (and we are told north of Philly) have been polled by our supervisors to get an idea about how many are interested.
There aren’t any CO Techs in Pa. (that I know of) so maybe it goes by whoever your Director is.
We were not told what the offer is.
Obviously not everyone will get one.
If you’re interested, now is the time to tell your supervisor or second level and let them know.
Can’t hurt.

Whether there is any truth here or not, we all know the next 12-14 months are sure to be "exciting".

There is no truth to the rumor, CO tech here in NJ. This is all news to me, I have heard nothing of this, not even from my coworkers.

Someone here is spreading lies.

There is truth to the package rumor. There will be an offer for Switching Equipment Techs and C.O.Techs in the PA/NJ . Which package it will be is not known yet.
First level supervisors already polled the employees in their groups to gauge the amount of interest.
If it is not the special EISP that’s already in the contract, I don’t think there will be many takers.
