So the idle welding trucks and keystone pipeline workers out of work have nothing to do with this administration, save it dude….seems to me after the Ohio derailment, pipelines are the way to go…term limits !!

@3wji+1ldkBEuO Stop spreading lies and disinformation! The current administration has absolutely nothing to do with the number of permits required nor the time it takes for them to get approved. Your point is completely irrelevant in TX as all permits are reviewed/issued solely by the TRRC which mostly rubber stamps anything that comes across their desk. The feds have zero involvement in issuing permits in TX. The regulatory environment in NM is certainly antiquated and requires a lengthy process, BUT has been in place for decades with almost no change under the current administration. I’m not sure what wellhead your close to, but it’s certainly not on Earth.

@2nwj and @3wji

You’re both missing the point.

In a country as wealthy as the United States, and for a corporation as large and influential as ExxonMobil, government action one way or the other is marginal in terms of effect.

The problems that ExxonMobil and the industry (and, therefore, both of you) are experiencing are a direct result of a series of poorly calculated, short-sighted decisions taken by your executives to maximize their compensation at your expense and the expense of your colleagues. While doing so, they’ve spent hundreds of millions of dollars on PR to convince you that the government (i.e., the one institution that can counter the industry’s abuses) is actually causing the problem.

In other words:

You’ve been organized in direct opposition to your own rational self-interests.

Think about the statement in italics for a little while before replying.

@2cha+1ldkBEuO you are obviously not close to the wellhead if you think this administrative is supporting rather than trying to ki-l the oil and gas industry. Your talking point of a single KPI shows a total lack of understanding of the number of regulatory requirements and permits needed to bring in a new well. You need a permits to

  1. Build the pad
  2. Run the pipelines
  3. Build the facilities pads
  4. Operate the facilities

And on and on

The rules kee coming but the regulatory agencies aren’t hiring so the time it takes to get permits keeps growing and growing longer and longer.

There are some permits that haven’t been approved for over two years.

@1eqe your kidding right ….this guy is at war with American energy, not sure we can tolerate another 2 years. Get your facts straight, not to mention the damage he’s done to jobs in this sector., and abuse of the petroleum reserves. This guy and his administration are a disaster…..

Is it cheating if we stack the deck with a comment like..."I'm so glad we're moving the needle by having the vision for the energy transition by our agile behavior in transforming our great company
